Description This is a painting I have done using my 8 year old sons paints. Don't laugh but at the time I was just practicing nearly 11 months ago!

Yeah, I read that. That is pretty funny. You did that with cheap paint? Wow.

It was one of the first large paintings I did. I bought a cheap thin sketch pad and borrowed my sons pencils, felt pens and one of those little tins with rock hard paints in.

You know the ones, I'm sure I used them at school lol. The paper was so thin that it wrinckled slightly from the paint. I have now upgradded to £2.99 oil paints and the cheapest materials I can find

I now use thick mouned card to draw and paint on. I normally get a huge piece and cut it to what I want.

It is perfect for sketching and painting

Huh, maybe I should do that. I just prop the sketch pad on my knee, and go from there.

I tend to draw on the floor while my wife and son are watching tv. Ha ha I have ruined my rug with paint.
I also use a 0.5mm automatic pencil which is amazing for detail plus the usual 2H, 2B 3B, 4B, 5B & 6B.

My last bit of kit was free when I was invited to sketch at my local hobbycraft store. I had £40 of kit for free, was able to display some of my work and got offered 2 teaching jobs (see my gallery in photo's)

Oh yeah? I'm not quite that good yet. I was thinking about getting a .5 MM pencil especially since I have such trouble with the eyes, and the textures of the lips. I usually use H, HB, 2B-9B. I am fan of soft pencils. I did see them, incredible stuff.

Unfortunately my works are not as polished. I am quite new at drawing. However there is at least a bit of improvement over the months. Also no problem man, it is totally cool.

Yeah it seems that is the best way to improve. I think my biggest thing however is shading. I mean I think I got sketching pretty good... Other than hair, but that is a whole nother ballpark.

Thanks, again using my sons paints. You know the ones. Real cheap and are in a horrible tin (Small squares of paint) with a picture of spongebob squarepants from what I remember on the tin. I had to buy my son a new set after as he was upset that I ruined his paints!

Thanks again
