I like Soak as a move. It's an interesting effect which can serve you well if played correctly. It's just that when you imagine it in practise, things get weird. Maybe it would have worked better as a Ghost move? I don't know. This is what keeps me up at nights.Pokemon Black/White 2 strips comes next update. See y'all then.

Trick-or-Treat turns a Pokemon into a Ghost-Elemental and Forest's Curse turns a Pokemon to Grass-Elemental now...Β

Forest Curse turns into grass, yes, but Trick-or-Treat ADDS the Ghost type to a Pokemon (even those with two types already), so that one isn't a complete variant on Soak.

Really love the way you handled the different textures of fire, water, and smoke. Nice implementation of a move so interesting, but also so peculiar.

...While this was funny, I think it might have been executed better if the PokΓ©mon hit with Soak was of the Charmander line or the Slugma line. Or maybe the Eevee line.

Charmander was definitely a candidate, but with all of the pokemaniacs flaunting their knowledge, being responsible for killing a mon on-screen probably would have been received worse. Was there something in the last panel that made you believe Magmar was a subpar choice?

Good point. I don't think that Magmar is sub-par, the comic was still funny and worked well, I just felt that doing it with a PokΓ©mon that depended on fire instead of simply being a Fire-type would be funnier. But you're right, that might not have been received as well.

Yep. Steel types ARE immune to poison attacks but in one of the generations, the bug type move twin needle had a chance of poisoning. No matter what type the opponent was
