Yes, as a matter of fact. For starters if you actually bother to read and pay attention to the Kyuubi Release chapters, then you'll notice that both of Naruto's parents didn't have to die. His moron of a not-father decided that he would rather provide his village with a military deterrent than man up, move past his wife's death, and be a real father to his newborn son. Kushina (not-mother) was stupid enough to get swayed by his argument and instead of dieing to protect her husband and child, she died with her husband knowing there was a better way in Naruto's best interests, and knowing the inevitable half-life he would suffer as a jinchuuriki. But the worst bit was that she was convinced to die and her son to be cursed because her husband had a feeling that her newborn child was the Japanese messiah, destined to lead the world into an age of peace, and the only way to do that was to seal a creature of hatred and destruction into him. Really. You have to ask why I commented?

There's nothing enjoyable about celebrating a woman who chose to let her son become an orphan and living weapon all in one day when there was an alternative, regardless of future consequences. She even stated that family mattered most to her, but I guess not enough to over-ride the propaganda Konoha pumps into their shinobi.

I actually somewhat agree with Hells-Gate. While I wouldn't call her "not-mom", she knew what would happen and had a plan in place but let herself be swayed be her hero worship(and possibly fan girl syndrome) towards Minato, who I would call a "Not father", because he "Couldn't turn his back on the village" due to the fact that he saved her.

If you read threads or fanfics, the majority of people assume that Naruto was so happy to meet his parents. That's because he's a moron, literally. And who's fault is that...his parents for not being there to raise him.
Also, about Naruto being happy he got to meet his parents. Say hypothetically you were an orphan, would you like to meet your parents and, after finding out that the single reason everyone you know wanting nothing to do with you was their fault, would you still be happy at meeting them or angry at them for being idiotic jackholes and ruining your life because of an overdeveloped sense of responsiblity.
