Yayyy finally some backstory for Cosmic Hope!! and another post for the AU, sorry for not posting about it in a while.

1)( takes place after the second panel of this) From a spark of magic came out Sunburst, a bit dizzy from teletransporting so far, his vision was still adjusting, but he could recognize the town he was in, Sire Hollow, he realized he was in the middle of the town, and that a single house still had the living room lights on, and a mare came out of it, running towards him. Almost out of breath, and more tired that he had ever seen her, his mother stood in front of him, a flicker of light coming out of her horn "You are finally here, i was so worried that something happened to you, we must come inside the house immediately, no one can see you" she panted "M-Mom? Did you wrote the letter?" Sunburst asked "No, no it w-was, honey you won't believe me it wa-" suddenly a whimper came out of a blanket tied against Sunburst's chest, he unwrapped it at the front, revealing the head of a foal, shooshing him and checking that he was alright.

Stellar Flare stared open mouthed at the sight, "He is mine and Starli- He is mine, he was born not long ago, i-i had to bring him with me" said Sunburst , and from the corner of his eye he could peek at a figure inside the house, and it looked like...Sunset? It was going to be an even larger night that he thought it would be.

2) Cosmic training with Sunset started as soon as he was capable of understanding words, his father and aunt realized from his magic outbursts as a foal that he had a lot of potential, and Sunset was the right one to train his magic, she was a prodigy in it after all...a long time ago. She hated training him in advanced levels of magic at such a short age, but he would be the only one that could use that kind of magic if she was attacked or taken away.

3) It began with him seeing a blue unicorn with floating hair in his dreams, he supposed it was just a product of his imagination, but with time the unicorn started to interact with him. Her auntie assured him he had nothing to fear of the blue unicorn, that they were her only friends, the only ones that still wanted to see her, but she was a little doubtful about the fact he could understand her, none of them could. he could understand her, and she would show him dreams. Dreams of things that happened not so long ago, dreams of a white alicorn sleeping, but he didn't liked the dream of the blue alicorn transforming into a dark being, he was a witness of it along a pink alicorn too, and he always woke up, sweating and terrified. Sunburst always fled to his side when he had those nightmares, he stayed with him until he fell asleep again, and sometimes he would too. He overworked himself researching and studying at spells, so when Sunset usually came to wake Cosmic and would found Sunburst asleep as well, she let them rest, they deserved at least some peaceful sleep.

I don't know if some of you noticed, but Cosmic's cutiemark, besides looking like a galaxy, also looks like the Dream Realm we see when Luna had dream duty, so yeah, his talent is entering that realm at will, and seeing past memories in dreams.
