Karkat x Reader

You knocked on the door of you matesprit's hive, arms loaded with sweets and sappy Earth movies. Today is Karkat's wriggling day, and you are going to make it great even if it kills you.

Karkat answers the door, looking like he just dragged himself out of his recuperacoon. Which he probably did, now that you think about it.

"Hi Kar-"
"WHAT IS IT, FUCKASS? WHY THE HELL DID YOU WAKE ME UP AT... *SEVEN IN THE MORNING?!* WHAT THE HELL, (Name)!" he shouts.
"Well-"
"WHY ARE YOU CARRYING ALL THAT SHIT?"
"It's for-"
"YOU WAKE ME UP AT SEVEN A.M. CARRYING A FUCKLOAD OF YOUR EARTH HU-"
"KARKAT SHUT THE HELL UP AND LISTEN."

And Karkat, being the kind, gentle, docile boyfr- matesprit he is, kindly decides to "shut the hell up and listen".

"Thank you. Now, I get that trolls don't celebrate their 'wriggling day' but humans do and I am celebrating yours with you whether you like it or not," you say. "Um... Can I come in?"
"YEAH SURE, YOU CAN JUST WAIT IN THE LIVING ROOM WHILE I GET CHANGED," he replies.

You walk in and plop down on the couch (pretend trolls have couches), setting up the food on the coffee table and popping Love Actually into the DVD player. Karkat comes out a few minutes later, fresh and changed into his usual sweater, and you play the movie.

~~ Time Skip~~

The snacks are nearly gone, and you two have gone through all the movies you'd brought over, but the best part was yet to begin. You'd saved the worst movie for last, counting on the fact that Karkat would get bored and fall asleep. You looked at the snoring Karkat and slipped out your phone, careful not to wake the sleeping kitten.

(Chumhandle) [C/H] began pestering apocalypseArisen [AA] at (time)
[C/H]: Aradia, he's asleep! Execute plan A!
AA: 0f c0urse
AA: 0h, and (Name)?
[C/H]: Yeah?
AA: wait by the d00r please? 0ur friends can be a bit l0ud
[C/H]: You got it.
(Chumhandle) [C/H] ceased pestering apocalypseArisen [AA] (time)

You walked to the door to wait.

~~ Fifteen minutes later~~

"Guys! You're here!" you whisper-shouted, grinning like an idiot. Everyone was there: the other 11 trolls, all eight humans, and you. "Okay, I have no idea when he's going to get up, so let's get this party set up! John, Jade, Nepeta, Aradia, Feferi, and Tavros, go set up the food in the kitchen. Jane, help with the cake. Gamzee, put the Faygo in the kitchen, then go to the living room. If Karkat wakes up, honk really loud, wish him a happy wriggling day, and keep him in there! Dave, Dirk, set up the music. Everybody else, decorate. Now, let's go, go, go!"

~~ Ten minutes later~~

Everything was perfect. Now to go wake up Karkat.

You walked into the living room and borrowed Gamzee's clown horn, tooting it loudly next to Karkat's head.

He proceeded to fall off the couch and flip the fuck out.

"OH MY GOG WHAT THE HELL WHY THE FUCK DID SOMEBODY HONK A HORN IN MY EAR THAT WAS LOUD AS HELL DAMMIT WHY THE FUCK DOESN'T ANYONE HAVE ANY FUCKING COMMON SENSE HOLY HELL THAT WAS LOUD WHO THE FUCK DID THAT I WILL FUCK THEIR SHIT UP WAS IT GAMZEE DAMMIT GAMZEE I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU-"

You shooshed Karkat. "Hush now child, it was necessary. Now get your ass off the floor and moving, I have something to show you." Karkat glares at you but gets up anyway. "Now come on." You lead him out into the now-dark hallway.

"WHY'S IT SO FUCKING DARK?" he asks, then hits the light switch. Everyone jumps out from their hiding spot, shouting "SURPRISE!" at the top of their lungs. Karkat staggers backward a bit, then looks at you. "YOU ORGANIZED THIS?" You nod. "...FOR MY WRIGGLING DAY?" Again, you nod. Karkat lunges for you and smashed your lips together. When you part for air, he whispers, "Thank you."

Needless to say, ti was the best wriggling day Karkat had ever had.
