At this point I'm really just offering my inktober stuff until I have the time to create new things. (sorry ). I wanted to get into the fall spirit, and I feel I did a pretty good job of it. Criticisms are welcome! Please critic me so I can improve myself.Related content

First off, I like how you executed the background in this drawing, especially when it comes to the section of the background containing trees. The warm colors in combination with the beige trees create quite the nice contrast in my opinion. The heart in the background is also a neat touch that adds to the overall mood of the piece. In general, the colors are solid, as they don’t clash with each other to where certain colors stick out like a sore thumb. The shading on the person is also fairly detailed, which, as a result, helps draw more attention to the main figure of the drawing. Plus, it’s consistent due do it clearly indicating where the main source of light is coming from (The top left in this case).
I'm not quite sure what going on in regards to how this woman's interacting with the ground below her though. With the amount of grass blades around, I would have expected more of them to cover the parts of her body that are supposed to be on the ground.
In addition, there are a couple of minor anatomy/pose quirks I would like to address. The fingers (Especially on the left hand) appear less relaxed than I would have expected them to be. Keeping them straight requires a conscious effort to do so on your part, so I find it a little odd that this person appears to be relaxing while making a conscious effort to keep some of her fingers straight. The length of the ring and index fingers also appears to be the reverse of what it should be (The ring finger should be slightly longer than the index finger, not the other way around). Her neck also appears to connect to the head a little weird (In real life, it looks more like this on women: thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/side-v… ). The neck aspect could also be a style thing I suppose. I just happened to notice this quirk and figured I'd point it out.
Plus, these anatomy quirks, alongside the other aspect of your work I commented on a little more critically, don't detract from the impact of the piece too much. Overall, I think you executed this drawing fairly well. Humans are one of the banes of my existence when drawings are concerned, so it's nice for me to see other people's attempts at drawing them and see how I could improve on my own human drawing skills.

Hello, I found your art through Project Comment! This piece looks stunning, and you are truly talented in coloring. But, you need to work on your antimony! The arms would not be that bony and they look very long, which is unnatural. The hand bends at an unnatural angle, and the hands have a little color bleed, unless intentional. Other than that, it looks nice! Keep up the good work!

It is so refreshing to see a work of art on DA of a self possessed, intelligent looking woman, who is not focused on being appealing or gazing at the viewer for approval, but a woman centered in living in the moment. Wonderful image. Evocative for me.

Ha, I wanted her skin to be a bit pinkish, so I outlined the exposed skin in a pink pen, but the ink kinda bled with the marker I used.
