Tried to emulate the look and feel of the advertising for Windy's jelly shoes and sandals (which were famous in Mexico back in the 80's and 90's), and the siblings had to work as fashion models for this one. Aren't they cute?

Traté de emular la apariencia de la publicidad de las sandalias y zapatos de plástico Windy's (que fueron famosos en México en la década de los 80's y los 90's), y los hermanitos tuvieron que trabajar como modelos para esta ilustración. ¿No se ven lindos?

Words cannot describe how good this picture looks! I like the background, brings back good memories, mostly back from when I was in 3rd grade. Some of this also reminds me of Kirby's Adventure (NES). I know, it's hard to understand but that's just what this reminds me of and it's a good thing!

Thanks for all your kind comments! This bring me memories from my childhood and my youth years as well, since these kind of sandals and jelly shoes were the bees' knees back in the 80's and again in the 90's. I was (and I'm still) fascinated by that kind of plastic footwear, and since they were very popular with little girls (and some boys with the gender-neutral models) I decided to give them to my own kids.

No problem. I think my little sister had shoes like those. Well whatever those plastic transparent shoes were. I remember hers were pink. She was in preschool when she wore them (or no it was daycare.)
The only other place or time I heard the words "fantastic" and "plastic" was in that song "Barbie Girl" by the band "Aqua."

Exactly: "jelly shoes" are those kind of shoes you describe. Got that name since they look like made of jelly, and usually girls wear them but there are also "unisex" or "male" models for boys
Yup: I got that phrase from the lyrics of that song, since I'm a big fan of Aqua and I love their songs

Yeah, I think they have some pretty colorful pairs of shoes. Even though I'm more for leather scraps and rubber due to some knowledge that each plastic is a petroleum byproduct along with the accepted legal realities of a criminalized cannabis cultivation for manufactured goods across the planet.

Well: plastic shoes and sandals have some advantages over the traditional leather shoes, and one of those advantages is that they can't get ruined by mud, dirt or anything else you want to throw at them (yes: specially food)

Long story short: Greta wanted to have her mom as her little friend, so Gaby granted her a wish and she created a little Cony from the memories of Mommy Cony. She's independent of Mommy Cony, so they can exist together in the same place and time
