i looked around, took tutorials and developed a style from what i learned really. watching oekaki animation helped too. plus i studied how they shade anime

i did it all in psp with my tablet.

first i draw him naked in the desired position. then i add a layer and draw clothes with a different color, each arcitle of clothing a different color. then i do a separate layer again and do the hair. then i clean up the naked body where the clothes are and merge the layers when i am satisfied with them.

after i make the rough sketch opaque by 50% or so i make a new layer and thickly outline the outside first with a 2px brush. then i make another layer and outline anything inside the thick border with a 1px brush. always 35% opacity and 70% flow. it doesn't matter if the first outline is dark cause if you duplicate the layer, the outline gets dark by itself. i merge the outline layers when i'm satisfied and get rid of the rough sketch.

each clothing has their own layer, even the skin and hair are on different layers. all i do is color them in without caring about the outline then make another layer and color in the shadow, erase to trim the shadow then merge and erase to trim to the outline. because the border is thick it allows for leniency when it comes to cleaning up color around the outside.
