One field I in which I definitely see potential use for AI is camouflage design. There definitely exists a camogeek community here on DA, and by looking into my own wardrobe, I am probably one myself. It is probably disputed if camouflage or designing it can be considered to be a form of art or not. One of the many definitions of art actually suggests one of its main defining factors is the absence of practical usage, while camouflage design most of the time definitely is done with practial usability in mind. Also, when it comes to historical patterns, artistic creativity probably plays less of an role than historical accuracy or scientific/technical principles. It is true one of the big issues of text to image AIs is the random nature of the results, but then, random shape generators like Happy Pony Land's Camouflage generator or even random noise clouds (which Latent Diffusion AIs use themselves, by the way) have been a recurring tool for me, anway.
