Many years ago, as a salary man in Japan, I often worked late into the night. There were long days in the office, and sometime, I found myself all alone in the whole floor, tired and stressed out. One night there was a box of candy on my keyboard. A co-worker had came back from a vacation and he brought gifts to everybody. The gifts were typically simple snacks. My thoughts drifted toward a faraway place where somebody in his busy schedule, stopped by a candy store to buy a little something for his officemates. It speaks of a culture where one never stops acknowledging or appreciating one's peers. That's Japan where the little everyday motion etched in my heart. I recall feeling all exhilirated afterwards, worked really late, missed the last train and slept in the office's chair that night.
