I think festive weapons are a delight and need to be hung up as decor not weaponery

Yeah, i know what you mean. Like, they'd get ruined right away. Only thing i can equate it to is like the more goofy looking items. Trench art. A way to stay sane amidst battle. And if we're gonna say they're very lax on uniform regulations there, then it just lets people explore further means of expressing themselves
