if you hadn't read it, I recommend reading Aragon by Christopher Paolini so you can add Saphira to this list. of course, she's much more then a steed but I think she belongs here none the less. also, judging by the fanart you made I'd say you would really enjoy reading the inheritance series (which Aragon is the first of).
