Missed the "Draw MegaMan Day" again, but at least I didn't give up altogether.I heard some fans want a bridge between classic MegaMan and X. The conclusions are really subtle.
I know this depiction of X doesn't look like any of his designs, but well, you can tell it's X and that's enough.

Well, I'm glad you ask, my friend. Unfortunately it won't happen this year. Not in the usual form. Whis july won't be busy as originally expected, but I haven't planned any of the possible scenes and wouldn't anyway because I thought to myself I need to go quality over quantity or at least don't sacrifice the quality with a forced schedule.
Something might appear soon, but no promises.

I'm probably one of the few who is fine without a bridge. I rather enjoy it being left somewhat of a mystery I guess. Maybe sprinkle more tid bits into the series that we can sort of connect classic to X would be fun but I don't really want a concrete bridge. Let the mystery remain, I enjoy it!

Maybe they will, iirc there is going a Star Force reference of all things in 11. While I want the OG MegaMan to hold on as long as possible, sequel stagnation with more frequency would become prominent really quick (although I wonder if someone would be so stupid to think "finally, a sequel to MegaMan 2" when the potential 22 releases). With the X collections (not like all 8 games take too much space to fit into one disc) coming soon, X9 is also very likely.

I for one think the connections that were already made between classic and X (as shown in the arcade games and scattered throughout the X series) are plenty.

I'm strawmaning the idea where fans would want an event in a numbered classic game where it's era just ends and has to make the place for new things,to be precise, by Zero making the place by wiping out everything in his sight (like the infamous Project Zero) or not as extreme when we clearly see him (like in Unlimited which would've been less controversial had it not been hopeless final boss). Would be cool if the canon connection was also made with actual bridge.

Soon it will be poor everyone in the original series (or perhaps it is a time-travel a-la SonicGenerations and X folk just came for... reasons). Come to think of it, I would love to see Mega Man Generations.
