Ah, haha, yeah I was an exchange student in Japan, and I got called edowaado during my stay. So it just sticked with me,
Just curious. The fruit tutorial is really interesting, but did you use a different tutorial for the metal mask here? Having a bit of a hard time seeing how you go from fruit to metal if that makes sense.
I'm asking because I'm working on a comic with lots or robots and metal suits.

The fruit tutorial -did- give me the basic steps to the order in which a painting should be drawn, however it didnt show how to make shiny effects...
The metallic effect was more of a personal experience with coloring in the past.
I -have- seen some good tutorials on basic armor that should at least offer inspiration.
