Bio:
To this day, the true origins of this creature are unknown.  However, the validity of the beast’s existence cannot be questioned, not after the event of 1954.  During that year, man wrought upon himself the most powerful force on Earth: the wrath of God.

On a sparsely-populated island off the coast of Japan known as Odo Island, the natives developed incredible legends for their culture, as many aboriginal people did before the advent of modern science.  These legends were passed down from generation-to-generation to the present day.  These legends spoke of a being the locals called Gojira, the ruler of the seas and a creature worthy of deity status.  Long ago, the people of Odo Island would offer up sacrifices to the great Gojira during times of fish shortages, for fear that if the beast ran out of food in the sea and grew hungry, it would leave its watery home and lay siege to humanity.  However, such legends were no longer believe to have any truth to them; they were just stories told to scare the children into obedience and conformity.  If only such statements would have held true…
The first claimed sighting of the beast came out of the records of the National Diet Building in Tokyo from Shinkichi Yamada, an island inhabitant who claimed his family had been killed by a giant monster during the fierce storm which struck Odo Island the night before.  Mr. Yamada was the only survivor of the wreckages of the Eiko Maru and Bingo Maru fishing boats, which both sunk for mysterious unknown reasons on the 3rd of November, 1954.  Despite the uneasiness of the crowd over the man’s claims, one person took interest in the his story.  This man was none other than paleontologist Dr. Kyohei Yamane.  Dr. Yamane requested that an investigation party be sent to Odo Island immediately to see if the story of the poor soul had any validity to it.
Upon reaching Odo Island, Dr. Yamane discovered several large saurian footprints carved deep into the soft soil of the island’s countryside.  After testing the footprints with a Geiger Counter, he discovered that they were highly radioactive.  Baffled yet confused by his discoveries, the investigation was put on an abrupt halt as the town’s emergency bells were rung to signal to imminent return of the monster.  The islanders as well as the members of the investigation team rushed to the countryside in anticipation and dread.  As forewarned, above the mountain’s peak, the creature’s head rose up to terrify the masses.  It roared defiantly at the people below him who ran helplessly in a jumbled mass before retreating back into the sea.  This is the first confirmed sighting of the creature.
After the creature was presumed dead after an attack on it was enacted using depth charges, Japan celebrated the disasters which they had so perfectly avoided.  Unfortunately, these celebrations would come far to soon.  That same day, only hours after the news of the creature’s death, Gojira emerged from Tokyo Bay, completely unharmed by the depth charges, to show to the world that it wasn’t going anywhere.   The creature was terrifying, with a distinction saurian anatomy, but with an upright stance.   It had a very theropod-like skull, with long arms and an even longer tail.   Strange, pale, blade-like bony protrusions also extended from the beast’s back.  This incursion was brief and resulted in no deaths or damages, but it instilled fear into the hearts of the people which would soon become reality with the creature’s inevitable return.
It is unknown how long Gojira had been resting below the Pacific Ocean, but man had ways of rousing the his ire and forcing him to the surface.  To explain the creature, theories were brought about to describe his origins and intentions.  As the theory goes, the creature was originally some form of amphibious dinosaur which had survived into the present day by secluding itself into a deep undersea microenvironment.  Underwater nuclear bomb tests conducted in the early 50s by the United States destroyed the peaceful home of the creature, its private lair hidden deep beneath the waves.  It is also hypothesized that the nuclear fallout from the tests mutated the creature, explaining its large size.  However, these claims are just theories, and no evidence can be sited to back them up as no documented sightings of the creature exist before the November of 1954.
A few days after the creature’s first incursion in Tokyo Bay, the monster returned to enact its vengeance upon Japan.  The Japanese Self Defense Force was complete ineffective against the creature.  Nothing they threw at Gojira even prompted the creature’s attention to waver from its goals.  All they could do was watch as the abomination rampaged through the countryside, leaving a path of destruction in its wake.  Once satisfied, Gojira returned to the blackness of Tokyo Bay, but those who witnessed its terror first-hand and survived knew it’d be back.  As a precaution, an electrical wire system was set up around Tokyo Bay.  This 300,000 volt barrier was supposed to keep the creature out of the city and prevent any more casualties.  However, when the creature did indeed return and the barrier was tested, it proved worse than useless.  Gojira tore the electrical wires apart like string, tearing the towers to shreds with ease.  During this assault, the beast revealed to Japan its true strength.  Blessed with the power of the atom, Gojira loosed upon the world its ultimate weapon, the Atomic Blast, a superheat stream of pure radioactive plasma.  With its unsurpassed arsenal, Gojira set Japan ablaze and irradiating the countryside to the point of being inhospitable with its very presence.  The sheer amount of radiation seeping from its very body was enough to turn Tokyo into a ghost town, irradiating the inhabitants that survived the initial attack, ensuring their inevitable demise.  Those who witnessed the catastrophe transpire were left paralyzed with fear and shock, knowing full well that this menace which now plagued them was one they could not defeat, and one that would not relent until the entire country was in ruin.
However, not all hope was lost for Japan.  An ingenious young scientist by the name of Dr. Daisuke Seizawa had developed a weapon capable of stopping the monstrosity that threatened to eradicate Japan.  His weapon, dubbed the Oxygen Destroyer, would prove to be the most powerful weapon ever created by human hands in the history of mankind.  Using the vast power of micro-oxygen, Dr. Serizawa's weapon could kill anything that breaths, suffocating the target, then liquifying their body until nothing but bones remain.  His weapon held such power that Dr. Serizawa burned his notes—his life's work—and sacrificed himself when using the Oxygen Destroyer against Gojira to ensure that it's secrets would never fall into the wrong hands.  Just as Dr. Serizawa had claimed, the Oxygen Destroyer did indeed kill Gojira when it was release against it in the waters outside Tokyo Bay.  With the menace silence, Japan would mourn the events that transpired to their country.  Dr. Yamane theorized that, if mankind continued their actions unchecked, they could potentially create another creature like Gojira to terrorize the world…

To be continued...

Abilities:
- Gojira can fire a superheated stream of pure radioactive plasma, known as the "Atomic Breath", which is capable of devastating whole city blocks in a single shot.
- His thick, leathery hide can repel all means of conventional weaponry.
- Gojira is quite fast in water, able to swim at 60 knots.
- Although Gojira is extremely powerful, he possesses one observed weaknesses: an aversion to electricity, albeit minimal.
- Gojira’s nuclear properties likely granted the creature many more horrifying attributes that we did not directly observe before terminating the specimen…
