It's fun to be at the front of the train and watch from the Conductors Point of view.

Not quite ... In Japan the conductor (in terms of the guy who does the announcements) is in the back of the train.
I think in the photo it's the moment where the doors get closed.

Sometimes back, sometimes front. I've ridden enough to have seen both ways. Depending on which direction of the route.

To be fair, in this case, he is indeed the back. The main lines in Tokyo tend to have them in the back, such as the Yamanote line, picture here. However, I agree with and have seen them in the front as well.

I think on the Sotesu line they drive the train from the front going to Yokohama, and from the back going to Ebina. Though I usually rode in the middle of the train as that was closest to the Sagamino gates, so I could be wrong about that.

I think Tsukuba Express is driven from the front both ways, between Tsukuba and Akiba. But it has been such along time now.

Man I miss Japan.

I think you're right about Sotetsu line. Thought I do think all of the trains are DRIVEN from the front haha, but some have an extra guy at the back or front to operate the doors and such.
