Let me share with you my favorite DnD character to play right now, Muck, guardian of the swamp.

She is a Water Genasi Druid of the Land (Swamp specifically) who grew up all alone in the swamplands, without ever knowing he parents, or even if she had parents, since she never met another creature like her. She became a toy to a bunch of Hags that lived in the area, who handed her around in their constand disputes as a slave, with her running away whenever she could and getting harsh punishments.

During that time, the swamp itself, the plants and the mucky water, became like friends to her. When the hags called her "Muck", she felt a kinship with the land in it and wore it with pride.

One day, while on her way on her own, currently not in the posession of any creature, Muck discovered something she had never seen before: An edge to the swamp. She hadn't even known that there was more than stinking waters and weeping willows, but she didn't hesitate exploring this new world... and would come across many adventures along her way, on her search for legitimate human connections.

The visual theme for her is swamp monster, the leather armor she wears is a crocodile skin she has crudely fashioned into something to defend her from attacks and then tied to the black torn robes she stole from a hag. The staff in her hand is a Staff of the Woodlands she's got her hands on in the campaign she's in right now, fashioned after a weeping willow Also she is visibly based on the girl from the ring, at least that was my first thought when making her. Cause I noticed that this wet japanese horror girl... kinda worked with the description of what Water Genasi look like!
