Description ... this might be the biggest figure I've picked up.

This is the transformers legacy gen select BLACK ZARAK.
So what exactly is "gen select"? .... well its essentially another line of special edition repaints, some ranging from diaclone repaints like "DK-2 guard" (a repaint of earthrise ironhide) to characters like "transmutate" (which used the paleotrex mold) to kingdom galvatron in toy actuate colours..... and this character is no exception as black zarak here is essentially a retool of the WFC earthrise titan scorponok.

But who exactly is he? Well black zarak here was one of the big decepticons that was featured in the Japanese transformers series "super god masterforce" and "zone" . Where the "transtector" of scorponok was destroyed and would later build himself a new one. He would eventually be controlled by "devil Z" and later return as one of nine demon generals under the command of "violengiguar"

And as one can see, he is freaking HUGE and there's a lot to go over so let's start small first then work our way up, okay? Okay.
And small can we start than with the tiny headmaster, reusing the titans return gimmick from a few years back, and it's as fun and as charming as ever, details are where they're needed to be and transforming it into a head is quick.

Which leads to our second part of this, being the larger headmaster ROBOT MODE and he's looking pretty intimidating, complete with a large scar on the torso, these huge pincer horn parts on the arms (with sneaky guns if you look carefully)
And he does some pretty good posing with his articulation although the horn bits can hinder arm movement, but one can work with it.
Transformation is like taking more steps than the simple titan master but nonetheless interesting and leads to the HEAD MODE and oh sweet primus it's amazing ^^ it's filled with mechanical details, which ain't surprising with something this big.

Getting this out of the way, transforming this giant into its two other modes was a huge task, each bit has a handful of steps to take but once it all comes together to form the other modes, it's very rewarding. A few bits of parts forming too but eh, I'll live.

And now, for the BIG stuff, starting with the BASE MODE, which is sort of a first for me and its pretty cool, with two big tower looking bits at the back, a handful of connecting pieces if you have any earthrise deluxe modulators to form sort of a city if you wish (did I mention he's a repaint of earthrise scorponok?)

Our second large form is the SCORPION MODE, easily my favourite alt mode of the two, I also added the spear pieces to this mode, gotta add em somewhere and always appreciate weapon storage or integration ^^ given how heavy he is, the little scorpion legs don't do much but look nice but rolls quite well enough, like a big scorpion tank lol

And last but certainly not least, the main event, the star of the show, THE TITAN ROBOT MODE...... AND I UNDERESTIMATED HOW BIG THIS GUY WAS REALLY GONNA BE O.O this thing is enormous, as big as the radiator my figures stand in front of when I do these "figure and model kit" pics.
All of the mechanical details are beautifully sculpted and I'm still spotting some new bits every time i look. Colours are primarily black but does add a touch of gold, red, teal and silver.
And it's beyond surprising that the articulation in the titan robot mode is as good, almost every part has these thunderous ratchet joints, like they shake the place up when you move em, quite appropriate if you ask me XD
To wrap it all up, he does include his signature weapon, the TYRANT SPEAR and its a damn imposing weapon for a titan of this size, it can also split into multiple pieces and be used in all its other modes as shown. Same goes for the gold shield with pincers too.

And overall, after all of that.... this is just glorious, as my first titan transformers and it most definitely nailed it. Its an overall huge but fun figure and brimming with all sorts of modes to be at awe with, I'd recommend him only if you can get him or if interested..... now where am I gonna display this?

Fave, comment and all that good stuff
