i have two answers about it.

1 - out of her reality - i created a cg model with two armatures(skeleton) one for the body another for her head, my ittention was exchange the body to change the clotches, but something went wrong, her head no keeps attached to her body, in her first animation teste, her body body moves and her head keeps on the place, scenne was funny and i have an idea to put this on her biography.

2 - In to her reality - she was frustated model, called Valéria, she is brazillian, she loses her head cause her vannity becomes a strange kind of energy, wich make possible detaches her head, regenerates her self, and creates energy weapons, she is called Sanstet.

I've creata a Reference sheet, i changed the collor of her uniform 'cos she is brasilian, the americam heroes generaly use , red, white and blue, so theres no red in brasilian flag, white and blue  are more appropriated.

I read this other entry that I assume is about her too.

If your character suffers from a head full of vanity, perhaps this is how her body became a hero.

This woman, I will call her Macarena(Spanish for vain woman) was born very wealthy and looked down at the poor of Brazil(I use Brazil, because that is where I assume you would want this character.  Assuming you subscribe to the adage, "Write about you know")

One day Macarena after a costume party where she dressed as a masked wrestler, was forced to walk through the bad side of town.  There she saw a street vendor closing up for the night, she convinced him to let her have a pastry before he closed.  She had been formerly very fat, so it was her custom to take one bite of anything and throw the rest away.  She noticed a hungry starving child was looking at her as she was about to throw the pastry in the trash.  Pangs of empathy came from her gut, but she ignored them and threw the rest of the pastry down a grate.  The starving child clawed weakly at the grate as Macarena taunted him, "You didn't earn it, so you shouldn't eat it!"

As she walked away, she saw an old woman with a bulgy left eye looking at her from the doorway she was passing.  Macarena didn't like the look she was giving to her and protested, "What is your problem, ugly!"  The old woman said to her, "I saw what a cruel thing you did!  Even your heart tried to help that child!  You are a cruel and vain thing!"  "At least I have something to be vain about" Macarena taunted the ugly old woman as he petted her hair.  The Old woman spoke sternly to her, "I curse you.  That your head will never be able to stop your heart from doing good ever again!"  Macarena broke out in laughter, "How is my heart going to help if I say no!  What pitfully ridiculous curse!"  The old woman made some mystical signs at her and then closed the door.

Macarena continued walking and passed a dark alley.  She sees a young girl being carried into the alley by two men as she struggles to get free.  The girl screams to Macarena, "Help me!  I think they are going to have their way with me!"  Macarena quickens her pace, thinking "Best not to get involved.  I don't know what's going on.  It could be a set up.  They might all be robbers and luring in me into that back alley"  The girl's screams punctuate the quiet of the alley way.  Macarena quickens her pace, "Besides.  It's not like I can help that girl.  I would just get murdered myself.  And there might be more of them there.  What can I do, a small woman...   Hey!  Why am I walking over towards the alley"  She tried to stop her legs, saying "No stop walking towards there!  We'll get killed!"  She reached down to manually stop them from walking, but strangely after attempting that her hands reached around her head.  "No, what is going on!" Macarena cried as her hands tugged at her head.  To her shock, her head was pulled painlessly free from her body and placed on the lid of trash can.  "Sweet Jesus, that old woman!  She was a witch!" Macarena cried as she watched her head approach the two men the young girl was screaming and struggling against.  "No, run away" Macarena cried out to her body.  But her body stood in defiance against the two men, pointing at them.  The men immediately leapt up and one  of them said, "Is this some kind of joke?"  The other replied, "This one is much more tasty than the girl we caught!  But I don't know what she's wearing to make her head invisible!"  The other said back to him, "Well then, let's find out!"

To the two men's surprise, the headless body of Macarena zealously beat them down in a series of kicks in punches.  Soon the two men where groaning on the floor as they writhed in pain.  The young girl rose and saw the headless body.  The body of Macarena pointed down to one end of the alley indicating safety.  The girl whispered, "Thank you" and ran down the direction she was directed to.  Macarena's body came back to the trash can where she left her head and put it back into her body.  Macarena wondered to herself if there would come another time when her body would do this again.

This is all yours.  Change what you don't like.

I created a biography for this character, I like your idea, I made several changes, even the story stay more consistent with local culture, the macarena name is good although but in Brazil the only thing is known as macarena is that Dance of 90s decade, the term used here is piriguete, but ill don't use it, 'cos is also a synonym for prostitute,I decided then to use Sanstet, a contraction of the expressions Sans la tetê in french and Senza a testa in Italian meaning headless, but most of what you suggested, will be part of history, Sanstet will be Creative Commons Heroine
will allow the users of this site to draw it and write stories with her, long as they do not change her uniform or provenance, they should not stigmatize her as "headless heroine,", the detachable head is your mainline power and the more expressive, but she has other super powers as to generate force fields, break the light barrier, and transform her own head in solar plasma.
