I love this picture, Its true people harm themselves in hopes of some release but sometimes the release just doesnt come and your picture is amazing, this picture gets deep into your mind and makes you think.

But maybe it's a way for these people to call for help. To call for a cure. Because they're too afraid to ask.

This peice is truely breath taking. I can almost feel the emotion eminating off my moniter. To start with the basics, just the mellow blue choice of color gives it a feel of lonelyness and desperation, and the blood red only supports that. The splatter of the red really brings out alot in itself- you can tell it's blood, not red color, not red designs. It gives a sence of truth. That blood like that would not be controlled, the mellow blue tells us something is lacking within, the blood red color, the color of love and caring. Another aspect of this painting I find very attractive is that most people can relate to it. The way I interperate this peice is it is desperation and axiety from school and stress, and everyone knows how that is. The bars of emptyness help a great deal to support the contrasts, and mostly the balance. Having the empty area not only fits in with the loneyless and desperation of the peice, but also gives you a sense of calm within the calm. -Of course this is all just my interpertation. ^^.
