Burtn, great old mill!!! I do log building in Alaska and I really do like to see the detail of the mill, how similar to what I do here. Do you have any more building photos like this one!!

Well, I have a few more of this one. How would you like it? I can submit them as request.

Burtn, sorry I took so long to reply, the last day or so has been busy. Iam very new at computers (just started this last March) so I don't know the best way to get the photos. It would be nice to have additional views of the mill,as Iam always interested in how others build. Iam thinking these mills are quite old and I see a range of different building styles which may help me change my ideas in the future. Currently Iam working on a log building for the neighbors across the road, though nothing quite as interesting as your mill photos. Please advise on how to get the additional photos. Thanks for your consideration. Fred Denner Dan Creek Alaska

Hi Fred, IΒ΄ve posted some aditional views as your request in my gallery, where you can download it. The oldest still working mill I know is from the 14th century, some farmhouses made of wood and stone even from the 12th century. The mills are still a cheap possibility to run whatever with waterpower.

Hello Burtn, thanks for the "additional views". Yes I figured the mills were still working, the folks that own them have their priorities in the right place, considering the high price of oil and all the financial turmoil in the world. Keep wandering the back trails of Austria, your friend, Fred, Dan Creek
