Here is a photo of me at Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America. As you can probably read from the sign in the photos, it is measured as 282 feet below sea level. Funny enough, they had a sign hanging on the cliff nearby that marked exactly where sea level was that you could look up to see. I walked out to the salty waters wearing my hiking boots, and at the suggestion of another guest, I walked back to the parking lot barefoot because the Epsom is supposed to be good for the feet. There were signs there talking about record temperatures in the park and how the basin got its name
