Bio:Hedorah is a giant colony of bio-engineered pollution eating microbe colony, made for eating all of the pollution in the world, mutated by nuclear waste dumped into the waters of Tokyo bay during the 50's.
it first emerged eating the pollution in the waters surrounding New Delhi, and eventually coming ashore to the city. It was finally defeated by electrocuting it and evaporationg all of the water out of it. A small surviving piece of it was later sent to UN headquarters for testing.
