Description
The valley overflows with the sounds of busy animals,
as they go about their daily activities
Plants stretch their buds toward the shining sun,
taking in its light to grow
Everything is as usual
Then suddenly there is a streak of blinding light,
with a loud boom as a comet soars into the atmosphere
Animals scramble to their dens in fright,
and plants shake with the tremors in the ground
High above, the comet starts to break into smaller fragments,
which spreads out into their own courses
Then finally the fragments hit the ground with a loud bang,
shattering the land and leaving nothing in its wake
Silence follows after the wild seconds of the comet's path
Animals slowly peak out of their dens, sniffing the still air
Sensing that the danger has passed,
they leave and once again begin their daily activities
The plants still as the trembling stop,
and look to the sky again, taking in the sunlight
Holes dot areas miles around,
but gets no nearer
