More of the emperor's family.A great part of the story evolves around the imperial palace and its intrigue, that's why there are lots of emperor's relatives and such.
The guy is quite the athetic fellow and a powerful wizard, the woman is his sister and a very skiny and troubled lady.

my only complaint is the high heeled shoe on the male figure, throws off the character.

The high heels is a peculiar male fashion in this particular culture. I suppose that we are just not used to see big muscled guys on heels

ya, it's a psychological distortion, my mind immediately sees that as being wrong, and ignores the details and awesomeness of the rest of the character.
