Ha! There are items in WoW that you can hold in your off-hand (or use instead of a missile weapon; don't ask me how they came up with that logic...) that include books, or tomes, that do nice things for your stats! Looks like great minds think alike, or WoW steals a lot from DnD (which I wouldn't doubt a bit)...
