As to answer your question, I started playing Darksiders: Genesis, and I find Strife's more 'human' way of doing his missions (asking questions, wondering of the validity of his 'duties', cracking jokes, being sarcastic, yet knowing when to be serious) more interesting than the other three.

Everyone has its soft sides
Yes he's a very complex character with many sides to him.

So far, from what I played:
- War went from being the Good lil' soldier to doing things for his own reasons;
- Death went from grieving over his actions and diving head-first into action to turning away from the past;
- Fury went from being violent and without purpose to being the lone protector what remained of humanity; and
- Strife… well… he helped Fury realize her potential and gave War reasons to doubt the Charred Council's wishes.
I wonder what Strife's character growth will be once we play his scenario.
