Introducing the Hammerhead Shark Power 2-figure pack for my collection.

Including Martin in Hammerhead Shark Power, a Great Hammerhead Shark, and the Hammerhead Shark Power Disc. Both figures are a little smaller than I thought, both as long as my thumb, but still good. And the disc is really nice as well.

Since 2015, I’ve been collecting most toy items of the Wild Kratts toy line. Like Creature Power Suits, figure packs, and more. I have several figures, like the entire swimmers pack, a couple figures from defenders, climbers, runners, jumpers, and others, that may not sound like a lot, but what I was really interested, was the Creature Power Discs.

I started my collection with an Adventure Set and Martin’s Power Suit set. Getting them from Toys R Us, along with most other ones I got. The discs I started with were giraffe, kangaroo, Thorny Devil, butterfly, Moose, and Frogfish. In March 2016, the Swimmers and Climbers set. Then Chris’ Power Suit set in July that year with the Ring-tailed Lemur and Tasmanian Tiger. I later got Crawlers set, and Defenders set, Jumpers set in August 2017, same day I got my first Wild Kratts magazine.

But sadly when Toys R Us closed in 2018, my collecting ended as it was the only place selling them.

With the spare discs, I kept 9 of those in a Disc Holder that the Adventure Set included. The others were kept in a custom-made one I made from a toilet paper roll, tape and paper lid.

And another sad thing, a 2016 toy fair video I saw on YouTube showed several upcoming sets that were sadly cancelled. A Tasmanian Tiger figure pack, Giant Panda pack. Hunters set that included Florida Panther, Tasmanian Tiger, Polar Bear, and Martin with Black Bear Power. Horned set having Pronghorn, Bison, Narwhal, and Aviva with Gazelle Power. Diggers set with Black-footed Ferret, Gila Monster, Aardvark, and Chris with Honey Badger Power. And Babies set having Stuffo, Grabsy, and one of the Florida Panther cubs.

The discs and some of the figures from that wave would have been great in my collection.

But eventually, I learned about the 2 Disc Holder sets, each coming with 20 Power Discs. And I got Martin's on August 2018, which includes Jellyfish, Opossum, Beaver, Pelican, Red Panda, Orca, Warthog, Bee, Woodpecker, Bengal Tiger, Gecko, Chameleon, Sloth, Aye Aye, Bison, Seahorse, Platypus, Hummingbird, Rattlesnake, and Pronghorn. Though the Bee Power Disc was actually a Moose.

I eventually got Chris' Disc Holder set on July 2019, that one included Hamster, Blowfish, Pony, Turkey, Wolf, Hippo, Grasshopper, Lobster, Sea Otter, Moose, Narwhal, Tarsier, Koala, Walrus, Skunk, Basilisk, Spectacled Cobra, Golden snub-nosed Monkey, Falcon, and Bullfrog.

I also eventually got the Runners set from Amazon, but what I didn't know was that most of the 4-figure sets had the discs in different colors. As the Zebra Power Disc in it was yellow, and between the 2, I prefer the gray one more. But luckily found one on eBay with several other Power Discs I've been after. And got an older version of the Fliers set.

With only 3 Disc Holders, each of them can hold 9, but I was able to find a Disney Infinity disc holder at a thrift store and keep the spare discs from both sets in. The other ones are kept in a spare Deadly 60 card holding tin.

I only have several more to find and collect. The recent new Poison Frog figure pack, Elephant figure pack, Rhino, Rattlesnake (Original orange version of disc), Aviva's Power Suit which includes the Gazelle and Bird of Paradise Power Disc. And if I can find the Deluxe Mask Set on eBay, a Panda Power Disc.

I just hope Wicked Cool Toys isn't done with the Wild Kratts toy line just yet. More 2-figure packs would be great. Like one for an Orca, Stingray, King Cobra, Komodo Dragon, and penguin would be great. After seeing the new special: Our Blue and Green World, I really hope a Green Anaconda and Blue Whale 2-figure pack would happen, because those 2 could be the crown jewel of my collection.

If that actually happens, I would get both in a heartbeat.
