Description This photograph was taken during the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick in the Rosary Basilica in Lourdes. The elderly were cared for by the youth (including me) and they were being blessed by the priests. In this photograph there is the bishop, anointing someone's hands.

I used my 55-250mm zoom, and then converted it to Black and White in Photoshop. I also tried to enhance the details, contrasts, highlights and tones in the hands and I tried to make it as emotive as possible.

Hope you like it!

C&C very appreciated!

Beautiful. "And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Say to Aaron and his sons: Thus shall you bless the children of Israel, and you shall say to them: The Lord bless thee, and keep thee. The Lord shew his face to thee, and have mercy on thee. The Lord turn his countenance to thee, and give thee peace. And they shall invoke my name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them." - Numbers 6:23-27

A shot I would have been happy to take myself, the high ISO adds a nice feel to this image

Tender and soft but I do have to say, intense and gripping at the same time. Beautiful work!

Thanks a lot sir. I definitely agree on the ISO side. It was in a church and the lighting was VERY poor.

I had a lot of noise on it, so after brightining it up a little bit (even more noise came in), there was so much of it that it looked like an effect.

Anyway, thanks for the comment!
