BETWEEN ROUNDS SIX AND SEVEN:
Maria Elena Areta: The boxers are standing up in their corners and seem ready for more action but the timing of the break is thrown off a little by the round card girl who is taking a little longer than usual to finish her parade around the ring with the '7' card. Hilda waits impatiently for the girl to finish her circuit while Yoojung Lim encourages the fans to keep chanting for the Scottish challenger. Vera Stone throws up her gloves as if asking "what's the delay here?".
Mairead O'Malley: It's about time they stopped having these girls walk the big cards around the ring. It's an archaic sort of idea really, just a T and A show for the guys in the crowd, and this lassie's got plenty of both to show! When I fought for the Celtic title we had a round card guy, which I thought was a bit more modern. I suppose the fans weren't as pleased by that though.
Maria Elena Areta: Well this time the card processional has added a few extra seconds to the break and Hilda's not happy with that,! She likes to run a tighter ship than this.
Mairead O'Malley: Both boxers may benefit a bit from the extra rest time, although I reckon they are pretty full of adrenaline now so it may not make that much difference to them. Vera does looks extra fired up and impatitient though, which she might try to take out on the KO Kitten when the bell finally goes!

Red. White and blue round card girl is clearly Kelly earning her cut of the purse. Just a smart manager buying her fighter time to rest. That's probably Kitten's cousin from Jersy, KO Alley Cat.

Nice idea ... but I think she is a local from Clyde side Hooters known as Fanny 'Milk Shake" Flake. The extra time helps both boxers, although Kelly had more work to do this time fixing Kitten's banged up nose. I think it is Olga who has been hiring the help and she may want to give Fanny a spanking later but that is a different story .... 😎

So Vera is going to drain her pent up adrenaline on Kitten. That could be interesting.
As for seeing the end of Kitten, both fighters have been beaten to a pulp. Vera has an eye that could be closed pretty quickly and Kitten has a potentially unstoppable nose bleed.
Vera is still the harder puncher and still faster than Kitten. It is true that Kitten knocked Katy out, but in their sparring rematch Katy was just about to knock Kitten out when they were stopped.
But Vera can be had by jaw punches and her defense is definitely much more porous now.
In short: This fight is up for grabs and as i said the first few thrown punches will determine how things will progress. I can't see this going to round 8!

Kelly did a job on Kitten between rounds to try to stop her nosebleed ... probably good until she takes another big punch square onto it!
Kitten's sparring has shown she can flatten someone of either gender with one punch, but Vera does not know that.
A right to Vera's eye could be a big problem for the Scot!
Yes it is up for grabs though.
