This is DWBL Knockout News Radio bringing you the rematch between Karen 'KO Kitten' Carlson at 5'6" 135 lbs and Veronica 'Frisco' Doyle at 5'7", 140 lbs. Carlson brings a 2-1-1 DWBL record to this fight and has struggled after winning her first two fights by close decisions. Doyle at 1-2-2 has been a durable opponent who's still looking for her second DWBL win. Carlson wears red trunks with black trim, a black sport bra and red Everlast gloves while Doyle wears black trunks with purple trim, a purple leotard and black Everlast gloves. There was friction between these two moments ago when Doyle would not touch gloves with Carlson, but the serious business is about to begin ... Carlson looks nervous while Doyle gives her an icy stare!

DING!

Doyle bounds across the ring and windmills a left that glances off Carlson's right arm as the KO Kitten takes a quick half step to her left. Karen goes forward to dig a left into the purple waistband of Doyle's black satin trunks then tries a right hook to Veronica's stomach. Doyle counters with a left hook to Carlson's body! The KO Kitten grimaces but stands her ground ... and gets shaken up by a solid left-right combination to her face! Carlson moves back with her red gloves up in a peek-a-boo stance as her trainer yells at her to go back on the attack. Doyle has other ideas and tests Carlson's defense with a flurry of leather that mostly lands on the Kitten's gloves and forearms. Carlson comes out of her peek a boo defense, blocks another swinging left with her right then attacks with her own left ... but Doyle blocks that on her gloves and a followup uppercut lands harmlessly on her collarbone. The boxers circle in mid-ring satisfied they've tested each other. The fight's on now!

Karen jabs at Veronica's nose, Veronica makes Karen blink with a powerful right hook to her mouth then tries a left hook to the side of her head. Karen sidesteps that and starts to circle with Veronica eagerly following. Karen steps toward Veronica and feints with her right before delivering a solid left hook that lands flush to Veronica's jaw. Veronica staggers a little and heaves a looping right towards Karen who goes into a half crouch to slip it. Karen weaves to her left and blasts a numbing right up into the pit of Doyle's stomach, making Veronica wince and cover up. Karen unloads a quick left and right but Veronica alertly blocks both with her black gloves and counters with a looping left that clobbers the KO Kitten flush on her mouth. Karen staggers backwards and Doyle springs forward to slam a left into Carlson's ribs, making the KO Kitten wince. A quick right uppercut to Karen's left eye has the KO Kitten protecting her face with her red Everlasts again while Doyle bobs and weaves, looking for another opening. Veronica puts a one-two into the Kitten's bare midriff bringing an grunt from the Kitten, who moves sideways to get out of Frisco's punching range. Veronica pivots and pursues her but Karen blocks the next flurry then counters with a jab to Veronica's nose and a hard right hook to her left ear that leaves Doyle shaking off some dizziness. They go back to circling in the middle of the ring, Karen starts to go forward, then

DING!

They turn and go back to their corners.

"How am I doing?" Karen asks her mother Kelly Carlson.

"Not great, I think you lost the round but I've seen you do worse" replies Kelly. "At least the bitch didn't knock you out. What happened to beating her to the punch?"

"She's faster than she was last time."

"Newsflash! She's been training too, hon. Listen, your defense was ok but I want you to whack her as she throws her punch, not take it and counter later. And save the uppercuts until you're in real close with her. You got a little bit of a mouse under your left eye now, so watch for her right uppercut, she got you one good one already. She's got a good one so stay sharp kid."

Kelly applies enswell to her daughter's cheekbones, gives her a sip of water and pops her mouthpiece back in.

"Go get her, kid. Hit her before she hits you this time."

This is DWBL Knockout News Radio again with round two of the Carlson vs Doyle rematch, scheduled for six. Karen Carlson goes right at Veronica Doyle, but Doyle blocks her left lead, jabs with her own left then ducks low and pounds a barely legal uppercut just above the red satin of the Kitten's trunks. Karen grimaces but replies with a rugged combination into the top of Veronica's trunks, also right where the ref told them he would draw the belt line. Veronica's angry but backs off and watches Karen circle to her right, looking for an opening. Both throw rights almost simultaneously! Veronica's glances off Karen's shoulder while Karen's slams into Veronica's nose, jolting Doyle's head back. Karen jumps forward with a lunging left to Veronica's ribs, making Doyle wince and opening the way for a right that crashes into Veronica's jaw, followed quickly by a punishing left hook to her midriff. Doyle's shaken up and backs away behind a barricade of black leather. Carlson feints with her right to open Doyle's defense then fires a left hook to her nose. Veronica looks furious but protects her head and body with her gloves and elbows as Karen slings more red leather at her. Karen tests Veronica's defense trying to create another opening but Doyle stays tight and nothing comes. They circle warily while Veronica buys herself time to regroup. Karen slings a left that Veronica catches and then tries to pull her in to close range but Karen twists at the hips and slams a solid uppercut into Veronica's right eye. Veronica winces then throws both gloves behind Karen's head to grab her in a bear hug, forcing the referee to separate them. As they step back, Veronica wings a lunging right to Karen's left breast, startling the Kitten as the ref hadn't signaled them to resume. Doyle gets a rebuke from the ref who then tells them to continue. Karen steps up quickly and rakes Veronica's rib cage with a left hook as Veronica comes forward firing with both fists. Karen blocks Doyle's right but her left digs into Karen's body and they tangle up in another stand-up wrestling match. Veronica shows her upper body strength by maneuvering Karen into the ropes where she digs an elbow into Karen's stomach before the referee can separate. As soon as the referee signals them to continue, Karen leaps forward and rocks Veronica with a left hook to her mouth, followed by a right to Veronica's ribcage and a left to her right cheek. Veronica's stunned as Karen shakes her again with a right hook to her body then

DING!

The second round ends. Veronica's infuriated as she returns to her corner while Karen smiles as she goes back to hers.

"That was better" says Kelly Carlson.

"Bitch wants a wrestling match" says Karen.

"She won't if you make her pay for it each time. Keep punching, kid, you've got her worried now."

More enswell to cool down the mouse under Karen's left eye, vaseline around her eyes and cheeks to keep her face slippery. Kelly's happier about Karen's performance now, but she knows bigger tests are ahead.

This is DWBL Knockout News Radio with the third round of Karen 'KO Kitten' Carlson vs Veronica 'Frisco' Doyle. Veronica comes out of her corner banging her black gloves together. Karen goes straight at her with a cracking left hook into her rib cage and a walloping right to her nose. Doyle gets her gloves up but a jarring hook to her left eye sets her back on her heels as the KO Kitten continues to attack. Karen ducks under Veronica's swinging counter to ram a right uppercut into Veronica's midriff then pops back up with a massive left to her jaw. Doyle's stunned and in trouble as Karen slips sideways to dig a right hook into Veronica's rib cage just under her left armpit. Veronica tries to slow Karen by trapping her right glove. Karen tries to spin away but Veronica grabs her behind her neck and wrangles her into the ropes where they get tangled up. The referee pries them apart and as soon as he signals them to continue Karen picks Veronica's wobbly defense apart again with a left to her right eye and a right uppercut to her nose. Veronica's hurt but rips a thumping right uppercut into Karen's left cheek then a flurry of black leather to Karen's body. Karen drives forward and puts a right uppercut into Veronica's belly, splattering spit from Veronica's mouth. Veronica stumbles, puts her face in Karen's sport bra and holds her, forcing the referee to sort them out again.

When the action resumes, Karen jumps in with both fists flying, tagging the now groggy Veronica with a right to her left eye, a stiff left into her belly, then right to Doyle's left ear. Veronica tries to cover her head but a second left to her belly drops her gloves to her black trunks. Karen continues the assault and backs Veronica into the ropes where 'Frisco' tries to cover up but Karen rips another left and a right to her body, then

BAM!

A tremendous uppercut rolls Veronica's eyes back in her head and she crumples to the canvas!! The crowd erupts in a roar.

Veronica lies on her side with her gloves around her head until the five count, then sits up and struggles to one knee by the eight count. Veronica is back on wobbly feet just in time to beat the count. The ref wipes Doyle's black gloves on his shirt and tells them to box on but Doyle still looks confused as Karen rushes from the neutral corner to finish her. A swinging right knocks Veronica cross-eyed and she staggers forward to clutch at Karen with her head low ... and rams her forehead into Karen's nose which immediately starts to drip blood down her front! Karen's stunned and the two boxers grab each other in a wobbly dance before Karen breaks free by digging a left hook into Veronica's belly followed by a close-range combination to her face. Veronica's disoriented but doesn't go down, instead she retreats along the ring ropes. Karen pursues her with blood streaming from her nose. Karen wants to close out Veronica quickly ... she nails Doyle with another brutal one-two to her body, but Veronica grabs her again and the referee has to break them up. Veronica's wild-eyed and wobbly but still doesn't go down again even though Karen shakes her up with a pair of crunching hooks to her face. Karen walks in on Veronica confidently with her red gloves low, looking to line up a KO shot ... and Veronica knocks her into the ropes with a sudden right hook that draws blood from Karen's left cheek. Now it's Karen gripping Veronica's arm to slow the fight down! The referee pushes them apart, Karen goes around Veronica's defense with a right to her ribs and Veronica's dark hair tumbles around her face ...

DING!

Veronica stands in a daze before going slowly back to her corner while Karen's breathless and blood-spattered as she goes to hers.

Karen's mother Kelly is upset!

"Sit down quick and let me look at you, you're bleeding, kid!"

"Need to put a third glove on her head, mom, she butted me but the ref didn't do anything."

"Lucky your nose isn't broken, but I gotta dry it up." An adrenaline-soaked cotton swab goes up each of Karen's nostrils, then Kelly wipes blood from her left cheek and applies the enswell. "Gotta keep you clean, hon, don't want any dumb assed judge thinking she's been beating you up."

"Shoot, I knocked her down! They better give me that round 10-8!"

"You're ahead on points now, but don't let up, you hear? If she's still standing, she's dangerous. You make sure of it, knock her ass out, kid."

This is DWBL Knockout News Radio with the fourth round of Karen Carlson versus Veronica Doyle. Carlson dominated most of the third round but there's no quit in Doyle! Carlson comes out aggressively looking to build her lead ... but Doyle meets her head on in mid ring, blocks the KO Kitten's lead punch and fires a thudding left into Karen's solar plexus. The Kitten winces, looks hurt, and momentarily drops her gloves! Veronica rams a straight right to Karen's mouth then tags her with an uppercut that persuades the Kitten to get on her bicycle to back away. Doyle lunges after Carlson with a swinging right into Karen's left ear then continues to bombard the retreating KO Kitten with a stinging flurry. Karen bobs and weaves to make Veronica miss with a roundhouse right. Karen slips another swinging left but then walks right into a punishing left-right combination. The crowd roars as Carlson looks hurt, Doyle is turning the fight around! Veronica shakes Karen with a looping left into her stomach followed by a right uppercut that rips through the gap between Karen's red Everlasts. Kelly's screaming at Karen as Veronica works her over with yet another looping right-left combination that sends the blonde's hair flying in a spray of sweat and nose blood. Karen's shaken up but she blocks Veronica's next left, then ducks under a following right to rock Veronica with a vicious right hook to her ribs making Doyle yelp with pain. Karen immediately straightens up and backs Veronica to the ropes with a left hook! Veronica paws at Karen's sport bra and hangs on, forcing the ref to separate them. Both boxers are sweating profusely and breathing hard. Veronica connects with a quick combination when the action resumes then punishes Karen with a swift hook to her belly and a looping right into Karen's left breast. Karen curses and protects her sport bra with her gloves, Veronica steps up to pounds Karen's midriff with both fists, bringing an agonized gasp from the KO Kitten. The barrage of black leather continues as Veronica attacks Karen's ribs and face with a right cross and then a left then a vicious straight right into Karen's midriff. This round's all Veronica Doyle as she continues to punish Karen's reddening rib cage with brutal lefts and rights before thumping the Kitten in the mouth with a savage left cross. Karen finally fires back with a left-right combination that convinces Veronica to back away and reassess the situation.

DING!

Veronica's winded as she goes to her corner but Karen Carlson stands in a daze before zig-zagging back to hers.

"What the freak are you doing, Karen? Keep going at her, you wanna give this fight away after knocking her down?"

"I'm trying, she's freakin' tough, mom."

Kelly cleans up the Kitten's face. The bruising under her left eye is getting worse. This isn't over yet, Doyle's not about to fold. Hell, Doyle probably won that round. This could still go all the way down the toilet.

DWBL Knockout News Radio back with the fifth round of Karen Carlson vs Veronica Doyle. The boxers are beginning to tire and 'Frisco' Doyle has battled back into this fight despite being knocked down in the third round. Veronica closes fast and tries to power two swinging shots around Carlson's defense ... without success so they immediately get tangled. The referee separates them and they square off again in mid-ring. Karen throws a left into Veronica's ribs but takes a left-right combination around her breasts in return. Karen instinctively hunches to protect her black satin sport bra, allowing Veronica to hook a solid right into Karen's bruised left cheek. Blood begins to run down Karen's left cheek and the Kitten tries to fire back with her own right but Veronica circles away from her and out of range. Karen bangs her red gloves together and pursues Veronica looking to engage her again. Karen walks past a glancing left to go inside on Veronica but Doyle whips another right hook into the Kitten's left cheek. There's more blood seeping down Karen's face. The KO Kitten looks frustrated as she misses with her own right which ends up behind Veronica's head as they get tangled in another clinch. The referee makes them get untangled and stand back, Karen probes Veronica with a stiff left but Veronica works under it with a roundhouse right that slams into the Kitten's left breast then blasts a savage left uppercut into the Kitten's sport bra bringing a yelp of pain from the blonde.   Karen throws a wild punch, leaving herself off balance and POW! Veronica thumps Karen's right ear with a fierce cross.

Kitten's shaken up and wobbles backwards with her gloves low, Veronica feels her out with a jab then pounds her right up into Karen's right eye. A left uppercut into Karen's right breast makes Karen grimace then Veronica smashes a right hook into Karen's belly. The KO Kitten's hurt and in trouble, looking confused as Veronica drives her backwards across the ring with a pair of left hooks, then a straight right. Karen's sweaty back is pressed against the ropes as Veronica snipes at her right bicep with a straight left then winds up for a hay maker right that would have taken Karen's head off ... if the KO Kitten hadn't spun herself off the ropes at the last moment leaving Veronica swinging at thin air! Karen digs her right into Veronica's midsection making her wince but they trade heavy hooks to each others' ribs before Karen hops away. As they go back to circling in mid-ring, Karen dabs at blood from her left cheek. Veronica sees an opportunity and thumps Karen's right cheek with a left cross, then punishes her stomach with a booming left hook. Karen grimaces in pain but bobs defensively and Veronica's next punch misses, opening her up for the Kitten's counter left to her nose. Both boxers are sweaty and tiring now, but the KO Kitten seems a little quicker on defense as she moves out of the way of a left cross then ducks under a wild swinging right to push her right into Veronica's midsection, bringing an oof! of escaping air out of the wearying Doyle. Karen puts a double jab into the right side of Doyle's face then hits her left ear hard with a looping right. Veronica clings to Karen to stop the action, the ref separates them again and

DING!

The bell ends the fifth round. Veronica's sweaty and out of breath as she heads back to her corner while Karen dabs at the blood trickling down her left cheek.

Kelly Carlson looks concerned as she works on the worsening damage under her daughter's left eye. All of the practice and conditioning work they had done was at risk if the bloody swelling distracted Karen and affected her vision. Doyle had taken some big punches but Frisco's smooth skinned face was almost unmarked!

"One more round, kid. Are you good for it?"

"Yeah, she's fading, mom. She's breathing heavy in the clinches and I've hurt her with body shots."

She gives Karen a sip of water to clean her mouth, tells her to spit it out, then gives her another sip for hydration.

"Good but you need a big round right now to be sure you get this decision. I don't think you can knock her out but you've gotta keep her on her back foot all of this next round. How about you try southpaw again?"

"Whatever you think, mom."

It's a stunt, thinks Kelly. We shouldn't need stunts to beat this bum! But Doyle's not folding, she's hanging in with Karen who isn't beating her to the punch enough. Anything to confuse Doyle just a little, to throw her off. Anything.

"Try it, kid. You need all the edge you can get."

Karen looks determined as her mother pops her mouth guard back in. One more round! This is IT!

This is DWBL Knockout News Radio bringing you the sixth round of a tightly fought rematch between Karen "KO Kitten" Carlson and Veronica "Frisco" Doyle. Both boxers have tested each other hard and strain and exhaustion are showing on both of them as they come out from their corners for the final round. The referee makes them touch gloves before they go back to hammering each other. Doyle does that reluctantly while Carlson grins and flashes her mouth guard at her opponent. Doyle's taken less damage to her face but she looks tired while Carlson's still up on her toes, she even does a little Ali shuffle then goes forward to meet Doyle fighting southpaw! Carlson jumps in quickly to fire a jabbing right over Doyle's left and Doyle looks momentarily confused. Doyle tries to block a following left that displaces her guard, while the KO Kitten ducks under Doyle's swinging left to push a hard right into Veronica's purple clad midsection. Veronica grimaces and tries to throw a right at Karen's ducking head but they tangle up and begin another pushing and shoving match. Doyle's height and weight advantage show as she wrestles the KO Kitten towards the ropes, where Karen pulls off a spin and push move to get out of the bigger boxer's clutches. Veronica walks past a punch to close with Karen again but can't find a target while Karen tags her with another straight right and a stinging left uppercut to the underside of her rib cage. Veronica grunts and lowers her black gloves to protect her body, Karen alertly fires a right hook to Veronica's left ear then a savage left to Veronica's mouth. Veronica staggers with her gloves below the purple waistband of her black satin trunks and eats a jarring right uppercut. Veronica wobbles away from Karen who keeps coming after her, somehow finding new reserves of adrenaline! Karen throws a straight right into Veronica's face then catches Veronica's body with a left hook near her liver. Doyle grimaces in pain and retreats towards the corner pads where Karen pins her down with a one-two to her body followed quickly by another one-two to her head. Veronica's back is against the corner padding as Karen switches her stance back to orthodox and whales away on her with the red Everlasts.   A vicious uppercut snaps Veronica's mouth shut! A digging right hook slams into Veronica's ribs and a left hook to her jaw sends her mouth guard flying out of the ring! The referee jumps in to protect Doyle from further attack while he grabs a replacement mouth guard from Doyle's trainer. As soon as the ref tells them to continue Karen works a left uppercut past Veronica's gloves then bangs a right hook into Doyle's left eye. Doyle's becoming a punching bag for the KO Kitten who keeps up a relentless attack now she has the upper hand. Veronica tries to tie Karen up but Karen pushes her roughly back into the pads with both red gloves, ranges her with a left jab then tears into her purple clad body with her fists working like two red pistons! Veronica hunches defensively against the corner pads with her black gloves around her ears and her elbows tucked into her body as someone in the ringside crowd yells "knock her out, Kitten!".

Karen throws several more combinations that find fleshy targets around Veronica's biceps and elbows but finally begins to tire and steps back from her position in the corner to admire her handiwork and catch her breath. Veronica peeks out between her gloves, sees a chance to escape from the corner and slips away along the ropes, backpedaling away from Karen as fast as she can manage. Karen breathes deeply and blows out her cheeks, obviously gassed from her own effort, but then takes off after the retreating Doyle, switching back to the southpaw stance to confuse Veronica some more. As Karen probes towards Veronica's head with her right, Veronica blocks it with her left, then swings a huge right in Karen's general direction. Karen easily sidesteps the hay maker, then steps inside to jolt Veronica's belly with a right uppercut. A gasp explodes out of Veronica, whose knees buckle ... but she doesn't go down! Veronica swings another wild right towards Karen ... who grins as she steps out of its path, then

DING!

The final bell sounds! Karen throws her red gloves high over head in a gesture of triumph while Veronica stands motionless, her gloves hanging limply beside her black satin trunks, an obviously beaten fighter. Karen jogs around the ring pumping her right glove in the air, confident that she has won the fight, and is greeted half way round the circuit by her smiling mother. Kelly grabs Karen around her hips and hoists her daughter high in the air as the ringside cameramen capture the mother-daughter moment. They go back to their corner where Kelly cleans up Karen's battered face, cuts the tape off her gloves, and gets her ready for the announcement of the judges' decision. Denav calls the two boxers back to the center of the ring, Doyle's body language saying she knows she has lost this rematch while the reanimated Carlson radiates happiness.

Denav has the microphone "Ladies and gentlemen, let's hear it again for our two combatants, Karen 'KO Kitten' Carlson and Veronica 'Frisco' Doyle!"

Enthusiastic applause! The fans like what they've just seen.

"After six rounds of tremendous action from these two fighting ladies we have gone to the scorecards. Judge Andy McLachlan scores the fight 58-56, judge Sandy Wilson scores the fight 58-55, and judge Ernesto Carabajal scores the fight 58-56."   The referee grabs the boxers' wrists, ready to raise the winner's arm high.

"For the winner by unanimous decision ... KAREN THE KO KITTEN CARLSON!"

Karen jumps up and down in excitement, beaming from ear to ear. Doyle mutters something to Denav and stalks off to her corner. No hugs, no handshakes.

Karen gets a hug from her mother and they pose together for more photos.

Veronica puts a one-two into the Kitten's bare midriff bringing an grunt from the Kitten, who moves sideways to get out of Frisco's punching range. Veronica pivots and pursues her but Karen blocks the next flurry then counters with a jab to Veronica's nose and a hard right hook to her left ear that leaves Doyle shaking off some dizziness. They go back to circling in the middle of the ring, Karen starts to go forward, then

DING!

They turn and go back to their corners.

"How am I doing?" Karen asks her mother Kelly Carlson.

"Not great, I think you lost the round but I've seen you do worse" replies Kelly. "At least the bitch didn't knock you out. What happened to beating her to the punch?"

"She's faster than she was last time."

"Newsflash! She's been training too, hon. Listen, your defense was ok but I want you to whack her as she throws her punch, not take it and counter later. And save the uppercuts until you're in real close with her. You got a little bit of a mouse under your left eye now, so watch for her right uppercut, she got you one good one already. She's got a good one so stay sharp kid."

Kelly applies enswell to her daughter's cheekbones, gives her a sip of water and pops her mouthpiece back in.

"Go get her, kid. Hit her before she hits you this time."

This is DWBL Knockout News Radio again with round two of the Carlson vs Doyle rematch, scheduled for six. Karen Carlson goes right at Veronica Doyle, but Doyle blocks her left lead, jabs with her own left then ducks low and pounds a barely legal uppercut just above the red satin of the Kitten's trunks. Karen grimaces but replies with a rugged combination into the top of Veronica's trunks, also right where the ref told them he would draw the belt line. Veronica's angry but backs off and watches Karen circle to her right, looking for an opening. Both throw rights almost simultaneously! Veronica's glances off Karen's shoulder while Karen's slams into Veronica's nose, jolting Doyle's head back. Karen jumps forward with a lunging left to Veronica's ribs, making Doyle wince and opening the way for a right that crashes into Veronica's jaw, followed quickly by a punishing left hook to her midriff. Doyle's shaken up and backs away behind a barricade of black leather. Carlson feints with her right to open Doyle's defense then fires a left hook to her nose. Veronica looks furious but protects her head and body with her gloves and elbows as Karen slings more red leather at her. Karen tests Veronica's defense trying to create another opening but Doyle stays tight and nothing comes. They circle warily while Veronica buys herself time to regroup. Karen slings a left that Veronica catches and then tries to pull her in to close range but Karen twists at the hips and slams a solid uppercut into Veronica's right eye. Veronica winces then throws both gloves behind Karen's head to grab her in a bear hug, forcing the referee to separate them. As they step back, Veronica wings a lunging right to Karen's left breast, startling the Kitten as the ref hadn't signaled them to resume. Doyle gets a rebuke from the ref who then tells them to continue. Karen steps up quickly and rakes Veronica's rib cage with a left hook as Veronica comes forward firing with both fists. Karen blocks Doyle's right but her left digs into Karen's body and they tangle up in another stand-up wrestling match. Veronica shows her upper body strength by maneuvering Karen into the ropes where she digs an elbow into Karen's stomach before the referee can separate. As soon as the referee signals them to continue, Karen leaps forward and rocks Veronica with a left hook to her mouth, followed by a right to Veronica's ribcage and a left to her right cheek. Veronica's stunned as Karen shakes her again with a right hook to her body then

DING!

The second round ends. Veronica's infuriated as she returns to her corner while Karen smiles as she goes back to hers.

"That was better" says Kelly Carlson.

"Bitch wants a wrestling match" says Karen.

"She won't if you make her pay for it each time. Keep punching, kid, you've got her worried now."

More enswell to cool down the mouse under Karen's left eye, vaseline around her eyes and cheeks to keep her face slippery. Kelly's happier about Karen's performance now, but she knows bigger tests are ahead.

This is DWBL Knockout News Radio with the third round of Karen 'KO Kitten' Carlson vs Veronica 'Frisco' Doyle. Veronica comes out of her corner banging her black gloves together. Karen goes straight at her with a cracking left hook into her rib cage and a walloping right to her nose. Doyle gets her gloves up but a jarring hook to her left eye sets her back on her heels as the KO Kitten continues to attack. Karen ducks under Veronica's swinging counter to ram a right uppercut into Veronica's midriff then pops back up with a massive left to her jaw. Doyle's stunned and in trouble as Karen slips sideways to dig a right hook into Veronica's rib cage just under her left armpit. Veronica tries to slow Karen by trapping her right glove. Karen tries to spin away but Veronica grabs her behind her neck and wrangles her into the ropes where they get tangled up. The referee pries them apart and as soon as he signals them to continue Karen picks Veronica's wobbly defense apart again with a left to her right eye and a right uppercut to her nose. Veronica's hurt but rips a thumping right uppercut into Karen's left cheek then a flurry of black leather to Karen's body. Karen drives forward and puts a right uppercut into Veronica's belly, splattering spit from Veronica's mouth. Veronica stumbles, puts her face in Karen's sport bra and holds her, forcing the referee to sort them out again.

When the action resumes, Karen jumps in with both fists flying, tagging the now groggy Veronica with a right to her left eye, a stiff left into her belly, then right to Doyle's left ear. Veronica tries to cover her head but a second left to her belly drops her gloves to her black trunks. Karen continues the assault and backs Veronica into the ropes where 'Frisco' tries to cover up but Karen rips another left and a right to her body, then

BAM!

A tremendous uppercut rolls Veronica's eyes back in her head and she crumples to the canvas!! The crowd erupts in a roar.

Veronica lies on her side with her gloves around her head until the five count, then sits up and struggles to one knee by the eight count. Veronica is back on wobbly feet just in time to beat the count. The ref wipes Doyle's black gloves on his shirt and tells them to box on but Doyle still looks confused as Karen rushes from the neutral corner to finish her. A swinging right knocks Veronica cross-eyed and she staggers forward to clutch at Karen with her head low ... and rams her forehead into Karen's nose which immediately starts to drip blood down her front! Karen's stunned and the two boxers grab each other in a wobbly dance before Karen breaks free by digging a left hook into Veronica's belly followed by a close-range combination to her face. Veronica's disoriented but doesn't go down, instead she retreats along the ring ropes. Karen pursues her with blood streaming from her nose. Karen wants to close out Veronica quickly ... she nails Doyle with another brutal one-two to her body, but Veronica grabs her again and the referee has to break them up. Veronica's wild-eyed and wobbly but still doesn't go down again even though Karen shakes her up with a pair of crunching hooks to her face. Karen walks in on Veronica confidently with her red gloves low, looking to line up a KO shot ... and Veronica knocks her into the ropes with a sudden right hook that draws blood from Karen's left cheek. Now it's Karen gripping Veronica's arm to slow the fight down! The referee pushes them apart, Karen goes around Veronica's defense with a right to her ribs and Veronica's dark hair tumbles around her face ...

DING!

Veronica stands in a daze before going slowly back to her corner while Karen's breathless and blood-spattered as she goes to hers.

Karen's mother Kelly is upset!

"Sit down quick and let me look at you, you're bleeding, kid!"

"Need to put a third glove on her head, mom, she butted me but the ref didn't do anything."

"Lucky your nose isn't broken, but I gotta dry it up." An adrenaline-soaked cotton swab goes up each of Karen's nostrils, then Kelly wipes blood from her left cheek and applies the enswell. "Gotta keep you clean, hon, don't want any dumb assed judge thinking she's been beating you up."

"Shoot, I knocked her down! They better give me that round 10-8!"

"You're ahead on points now, but don't let up, you hear? If she's still standing, she's dangerous. You make sure of it, knock her ass out, kid."

DING!

This is DWBL Knockout News Radio with the fourth round of Karen Carlson versus Veronica Doyle. Carlson dominated most of the third round but there's no quit in Doyle! Carlson comes out aggressively looking to build her lead ... but Doyle meets her head on in mid ring, blocks the KO Kitten's lead punch and fires a thudding left into Karen's solar plexus. The Kitten winces, looks hurt, and momentarily drops her gloves! Veronica rams a straight right to Karen's mouth then tags her with an uppercut that persuades the Kitten to get on her bicycle to back away. Doyle lunges after Carlson with a swinging right into Karen's left ear then continues to bombard the retreating KO Kitten with a stinging flurry. Karen bobs and weaves to make Veronica miss with a roundhouse right. Karen slips another swinging left but then walks right into a punishing left-right combination. The crowd roars as Carlson looks hurt, Doyle is turning the fight around! Veronica shakes Karen with a looping left into her stomach followed by a right uppercut that rips through the gap between Karen's red Everlasts. Kelly's screaming at Karen as Veronica works her over with yet another looping right-left combination that sends the blonde's hair flying in a spray of sweat and nose blood. Karen's shaken up but she blocks Veronica's next left, then ducks under a following right to rock Veronica with a vicious right hook to her ribs making Doyle yelp with pain. Karen immediately straightens up and backs Veronica to the ropes with a left hook! Veronica paws at Karen's sport bra and hangs on, forcing the ref to separate them. Both boxers are sweating profusely and breathing hard. Veronica connects with a quick combination when the action resumes then punishes Karen with a swift hook to her belly and a looping right into Karen's left breast. Karen curses and protects her sport bra with her gloves, Veronica steps up to pounds Karen's midriff with both fists, bringing an agonized gasp from the KO Kitten. The barrage of black leather continues as Veronica attacks Karen's ribs and face with a right cross and then a left then a vicious straight right into Karen's midriff. This round's all Veronica Doyle as she continues to punish Karen's reddening rib cage with brutal lefts and rights before thumping the Kitten in the mouth with a savage left cross. Karen finally fires back with a left-right combination that convinces Veronica to back away and reassess the situation.

DING!

Veronica's winded as she goes to her corner but Karen Carlson stands in a daze before zig-zagging back to hers.

"What the freak are you doing, Karen? Keep going at her, you wanna give this fight away after knocking her down?"

"I'm trying, she's freakin' tough, mom."

Kelly cleans up the Kitten's face. The bruising under her left eye is getting worse. This isn't over yet, Doyle's not about to fold. Hell, Doyle probably won that round. This could still go all the way down the toilet.

DING!

DWBL Knockout News Radio back with the fifth round of Karen Carlson vs Veronica Doyle. The boxers are beginning to tire and 'Frisco' Doyle has battled back into this fight despite being knocked down in the third round. Veronica closes fast and tries to power two swinging shots around Carlson's defense ... without success so they immediately get tangled. The referee separates them and they square off again in mid-ring. Karen throws a left into Veronica's ribs but takes a left-right combination around her breasts in return. Karen instinctively hunches to protect her black satin sport bra, allowing Veronica to hook a solid right into Karen's bruised left cheek. Blood begins to run down Karen's left cheek and the Kitten tries to fire back with her own right but Veronica circles away from her and out of range. Karen bangs her red gloves together and pursues Veronica looking to engage her again. Karen walks past a glancing left to go inside on Veronica but Doyle whips another right hook into the Kitten's left cheek. There's more blood seeping down Karen's face. The KO Kitten looks frustrated as she misses with her own right which ends up behind Veronica's head as they get tangled in another clinch. The referee makes them get untangled and stand back, Karen probes Veronica with a stiff left but Veronica works under it with a roundhouse right that slams into the Kitten's left breast then blasts a savage left uppercut into the Kitten's sport bra bringing a yelp of pain from the blonde.   Karen throws a wild punch, leaving herself off balance and POW! Veronica thumps Karen's right ear with a fierce cross.

Kitten's shaken up and wobbles backwards with her gloves low, Veronica feels her out with a jab then pounds her right up into Karen's right eye. A left uppercut into Karen's right breast makes Karen grimace then Veronica smashes a right hook into Karen's belly. The KO Kitten's hurt and in trouble, looking confused as Veronica drives her backwards across the ring with a pair of left hooks, then a straight right. Karen's sweaty back is pressed against the ropes as Veronica snipes at her right bicep with a straight left then winds up for a hay maker right that would have taken Karen's head off ... if the KO Kitten hadn't spun herself off the ropes at the last moment leaving Veronica swinging at thin air! Karen digs her right into Veronica's midsection making her wince but they trade heavy hooks to each others' ribs before Karen hops away. As they go back to circling in mid-ring, Karen dabs at blood from her left cheek. Veronica sees an opportunity and thumps Karen's right cheek with a left cross, then punishes her stomach with a booming left hook. Karen grimaces in pain but bobs defensively and Veronica's next punch misses, opening her up for the Kitten's counter left to her nose. Both boxers are sweaty and tiring now, but the KO Kitten seems a little quicker on defense as she moves out of the way of a left cross then ducks under a wild swinging right to push her right into Veronica's midsection, bringing an oof! of escaping air out of the wearying Doyle. Karen puts a double jab into the right side of Doyle's face then hits her left ear hard with a looping right. Veronica clings to Karen to stop the action, the ref separates them again and

DING!

The bell ends the fifth round. Veronica's sweaty and out of breath as she heads back to her corner while Karen dabs at the blood trickling down her left cheek.

Kelly Carlson looks concerned as she works on the worsening damage under her daughter's left eye. All of the practice and conditioning work they had done was at risk if the bloody swelling distracted Karen and affected her vision. Doyle had taken some big punches but Frisco's smooth skinned face was almost unmarked!

"One more round, kid. Are you good for it?"

"Yeah, she's fading, mom. She's breathing heavy in the clinches and I've hurt her with body shots."

She gives Karen a sip of water to clean her mouth, tells her to spit it out, then gives her another sip for hydration.

"Good but you need a big round right now to be sure you get this decision. I don't think you can knock her out but you've gotta keep her on her back foot all of this next round. How about you try southpaw again?"

"Whatever you think, mom."

It's a stunt, thinks Kelly. We shouldn't need stunts to beat this bum! But Doyle's not folding, she's hanging in with Karen who isn't beating her to the punch enough. Anything to confuse Doyle just a little, to throw her off. Anything.

"Try it, kid. You need all the edge you can get."

Karen looks determined as her mother pops her mouth guard back in. One more round! This is IT!

This is DWBL Knockout News Radio bringing you the sixth round of a tightly fought rematch between Karen "KO Kitten" Carlson and Veronica "Frisco" Doyle. Both boxers have tested each other hard and strain and exhaustion are showing on both of them as they come out from their corners for the final round. The referee makes them touch gloves before they go back to hammering each other. Doyle does that reluctantly while Carlson grins and flashes her mouth guard at her opponent. Doyle's taken less damage to her face but she looks tired while Carlson's still up on her toes, she even does a little Ali shuffle then goes forward to meet Doyle fighting southpaw! Carlson jumps in quickly to fire a jabbing right over Doyle's left and Doyle looks momentarily confused. Doyle tries to block a following left that displaces her guard, while the KO Kitten ducks under Doyle's swinging left to push a hard right into Veronica's purple clad midsection. Veronica grimaces and tries to throw a right at Karen's ducking head but they tangle up and begin another pushing and shoving match. Doyle's height and weight advantage show as she wrestles the KO Kitten towards the ropes, where Karen pulls off a spin and push move to get out of the bigger boxer's clutches. Veronica walks past a punch to close with Karen again but can't find a target while Karen tags her with another straight right and a stinging left uppercut to the underside of her rib cage. Veronica grunts and lowers her black gloves to protect her body, Karen alertly fires a right hook to Veronica's left ear then a savage left to Veronica's mouth. Veronica staggers with her gloves below the purple waistband of her black satin trunks and eats a jarring right uppercut. Veronica wobbles away from Karen who keeps coming after her, somehow finding new reserves of adrenaline! Karen throws a straight right into Veronica's face then catches Veronica's body with a left hook near her liver. Doyle grimaces in pain and retreats towards the corner pads where Karen pins her down with a one-two to her body followed quickly by another one-two to her head. Veronica's back is against the corner padding as Karen switches her stance back to orthodox and whales away on her with the red Everlasts.   A vicious uppercut snaps Veronica's mouth shut! A digging right hook slams into Veronica's ribs and a left hook to her jaw sends her mouth guard flying out of the ring! The referee jumps in to protect Doyle from further attack while he grabs a replacement mouth guard from Doyle's trainer. As soon as the ref tells them to continue Karen works a left uppercut past Veronica's gloves then bangs a right hook into Doyle's left eye. Doyle's becoming a punching bag for the KO Kitten who keeps up a relentless attack now she has the upper hand. Veronica tries to tie Karen up but Karen pushes her roughly back into the pads with both red gloves, ranges her with a left jab then tears into her purple clad body with her fists working like two red pistons! Veronica hunches defensively against the corner pads with her black gloves around her ears and her elbows tucked into her body as someone in the ringside crowd yells "knock her out, Kitten!".

Karen throws several more combinations that find fleshy targets around Veronica's biceps and elbows but finally begins to tire and steps back from her position in the corner to admire her handiwork and catch her breath. Veronica peeks out between her gloves, sees a chance to escape from the corner and slips away along the ropes, backpedaling away from Karen as fast as she can manage. Karen breathes deeply and blows out her cheeks, obviously gassed from her own effort, but then takes off after the retreating Doyle, switching back to the southpaw stance to confuse Veronica some more. As Karen probes towards Veronica's head with her right, Veronica blocks it with her left, then swings a huge right in Karen's general direction. Karen easily sidesteps the hay maker, then steps inside to jolt Veronica's belly with a right uppercut. A gasp explodes out of Veronica, whose knees buckle ... but she doesn't go down! Veronica swings another wild right towards Karen ... who grins as she steps out of its path, then

DING!

The final bell sounds! Karen throws her red gloves high over head in a gesture of triumph while Veronica stands motionless, her gloves hanging limply beside her black satin trunks, an obviously beaten fighter. Karen jogs around the ring pumping her right glove in the air, confident that she has won the fight, and is greeted half way round the circuit by her smiling mother. Kelly grabs Karen around her hips and hoists her daughter high in the air as the ringside cameramen capture the mother-daughter moment. They go back to their corner where Kelly cleans up Karen's battered face, cuts the tape off her gloves, and gets her ready for the announcement of the judges' decision. Denav calls the two boxers back to the center of the ring, Doyle's body language saying she knows she has lost this rematch while the reanimated Carlson radiates happiness.

Denav has the microphone "Ladies and gentlemen, let's hear it again for our two combatants, Karen 'KO Kitten' Carlson and Veronica 'Frisco' Doyle!"

Enthusiastic applause! The fans like what they've just seen.

"After six rounds of tremendous action from these two fighting ladies we have gone to the scorecards. Judge Andy McLachlan scores the fight 58-56, judge Sandy Wilson scores the fight 58-55, and judge Ernesto Carabajal scores the fight 58-56."   The referee grabs the boxers' wrists, ready to raise the winner's arm high.

"For the winner by unanimous decision ... KAREN THE KO KITTEN CARLSON!"

Karen jumps up and down in excitement, beaming from ear to ear. Doyle mutters something to Denav and stalks off to her corner. No hugs, no handshakes.

Karen gets a hug from her mother and they pose together for more photos.
