Jhendelyn comes from a tough barrio in Santiago, Chile and began professional fighting for what she hoped would be easy money. For her
first ten fights she met expectations, winning nine of them by brutal knockouts that established her as a working class fan favorite.
She has a chip on her shoulder about rich blondes that brought her into conflict with Javiera "La Perra" Etcheverry in Javi's seventh pro fight. Jhendelyn brought a 10-0-0 record with 9 KO wins into the scheduled 8-round Chilean title elimination fight with Javiera. She grandstanded at the weighin, taking the microphone to say that she would defeat with her fists not only Etcheverry, but the upper class, the Church, capitalism, heteropatriarchy and the wrong concept of femininity that "La Perra" supposedly represented.
However, once the bell sounded she was unable to overcome the future WBC Latina champion's speed and aggressiveness and was knocked out by Javi in the first round.
