Description This it a larger and colored (though it's hardly different, as she's mostly white and gray anyhow) version of Qaf. This is showing off the ajïs (pronounced "ahzh-wee"), which are pretty much like hanzi/kanji only they are no longer functional as anything by decoration and the occasional emphatic sign or comic book bubble. The ones here mean "god", "wisdom", "lady/lord" (it's a word like the "-sama" honorific in Japanese), and "culture".

Gods of Isse are typically imagined to have insanely long crowns/manes (head hair), especially Qaf. Long hair is a symbol of age and wisdom, or of studiousness and leisure, much like in ancient China with long fingernails.

The title's a slight misnomer, implying that everyone on Isse worships Qaf. They do not. There are many religions, as it is a big planet with many people. Qaf's one of my favorite ones, tho. Ooh, maybe I'll make this into a series. That would make me happy.

Nice mingling of cultures and traits to make an aspect all your own for your Isse-folk.

Great seeing you posting drawings again !  I really like how smooth and clean the flat colours are on this one.  And the texture makes everything very sharp.  Always like to see your worldbuilding art !

Wow, that's awesome the characters look really cool, a lot more authentic looking, as well as the awesome picture you have there. Nice work with that hair by the way. I just want to ask about the way that these characters where made, like what part of the characters mean what? I am exsited because I haven't come across others who have made an Asian or Asian "look-a-like" (In terms of writing system that is) Conlang and am eager to know more.

Thank you for your enthusiasm!

Basically, you're asking about the characters' "radicals"? I'm glad you asked like that, because that's pretty much how I made them, lol. It's a lot to put in a single comment, but the first ajïs for "god" is made up of "starburst" (the three dots) + "roof" (self explanatory) + "cauldron" (the "radical" that looks like a large pot with a spoon sticking out. It kind of implies magic). Not very exciting, but not all hanzi/kanji are perfect pictographs, either.

AWESOME haah, nice, and yeah I have to agree, I currently studying Hanzi and Kanji and I understand what you mean, how much do you know about han characters? (I have some interesting information I would like to shear but I don't know if you already know it or not)

I studied Japanese quite a bit and am considered intermediate. (I used to be better, but the real world happened.)I'm pretty bad at Chinese, but I can read basic hanzi that remain unchanged from when the Japanese borrowed them. UHm, I won't know what you're gonna share until you share it, ha ha.

Nice, I have also studied Japanese for over three years, but I started with Chinese, my grand farther was from Hong Kong so you can see why I started to learn Chinese first. Well one of the things I learned when studding Chinese was that a lot of the characters are made of two parts, the first gives the character's meaning and the second gives its pronunciation, like the character for mother, 媽-ma-(mum) is made up of the characters 女-nǚ-(woman) and 馬-ma-(hours), as you can see, the first character gives the meaning and the second show pronunciation, the same can also be found in 時-shí-(time) 日-rì-(sun) 寺-sì-(temple). This is where a lot of the traditional Han Zi characters get their complexity from which is why Chinese has so meany characters. I have spent about half a year studding the emtymology of Hanzi characters and I have to say it is amazing where these combinations lead. I only brought this up because of when you spoke about the characters loosing their meaning over time and taking on new meaning, I though that this well sort of fit.

Oh, that's neat! I didn't know hanzi worked like that. Considering Japanese wasn't the originl user for them, I really wouldn't have. Thanks for the note!

No problems, was thinking that you could use the same thing in your language, would mean that you could create even more characters with varied meanings, .

I could, yes. I was going to stop at around 250 of them, since it's not really used except for some places. But that could help.

Yeah, you could use it for like old or ancient scripts that have a writing system that has been long out grown. Well that's what I am doing with my Asian style con-lang, KaiSho.
