The Joker from The Dark Knight cosplay, yay!

I don't usually do "cosplay", if you can even call this attempt a "real cosplay". I'm not sure of the rules and guidelines of you people! *shakes fist* ...if any.

SO, this is my first time going all out and trying to do a cosplay. I think I did kinda not half-bad for my first time.

I dyed my white gloves and beige jacket purple, so I had to get some purple and black Rit dye. The jacket was polyester, so there was some concern as to whether it would dye well. Actually, it was 65%, and I wonder if this is why the gloves differ from the jacket in how dark the color is. But, that's okay!

I got the jacket, green vest, blue collar shirt, tie, and purple corduroy pants at a thrift store. Gloves and makeup were from a costume shop.

Now, of course, I wish I had the "hexagon pattern" shirt, but that would probably have to be custom-made, and I assembled this costume a few days before and finished it, literally, right before we left to see the movie on opening day.

I didn't get the right shoes, but that's minor. Same goes for the socks since that's rarely seen when walking around outside the theater, waiting in line. There's also the chain around his pants and the blue undercoat (that is barely visible when you look at it) that I'm missing. Corduroy instead of pinstripe, and the jacket is the wrong color. Don't have the scars, and my hair isn't right. ...oh, yeah, and the tie is way off (why I picked it, I don't know).

BUT, I'm proud of this. It's pretty good, I think.

I'm not sure if there's a category for these costume stuffs. Maybe I didn't look hard enough, but whatevs. =3
