Description I have been following along with Truegreen7's series on Youtube where he and 3 other Fakemon artists get together to design a new pokemon based on the same prompt.
This Prompt was: Speculative Evolution. Take an existing pokemon and come up with what it would become in a future timeline.

I decided to go with an world in which either Team Magma or Team Aqua won. This decadent of Cacturn is from a world where Team Aqua won and the only landmasses left are now small island chains that were once the tops of mountain. I wanted to explore the concept of Island Gigantism and Island Dwarfism, a phenomenon where smaller animals isolated on islands become larger in response to a lack of predators, and larger animals become smaller in response to there being less resources available.

This descendant of Cacturn is meant to represent Island Gigantism. With water being more abundant, Cacturns no longer needed to be desert scavengers trailing travelers waiting for them to collapse from exhaustion, it has more than enough water now and has taken on a more friendly demeanor and willing to help share its healing gel with other pokemon.

I based Aloviturn off of the Aloe or Giant Agave plant who's inner liquid can be eaten or used as medicine. Aloviturn is Grass/Water type. I don't often do stats or strategy but I imagine Aloviturn would be a High Defence, High HP tank with healing moves so it would be the most annoying stalling pokemon and in a double battle could keep another pokemon's health up while being hard to take down. The spikes on its body are not that sharp anymore but are very hard to help tank attacks.
