I had an idea that it would be fun to play as a homebrewed defective Illithid (Mindflayer) character but instead of being a scary brain consuming Lovecraftian horror of the underdark, they are just a sparkly flamboyant, and more than a little goofy alien queen who really wants to understand people...but may occasionally need to feed off of people's thoughts, memories, and Omega-3 fatty acids but she can get that part from eating fish.I'm thinking of playing them as either a Warlock or a Bard.
