Apophysis 7x.15C and a little GIMP. Tweak of "Foam" by ~AkuraPare (whose params are available in THIS JOURNAL ).
As you can see, I left over pitch and depth blur and used post_depth/sineblur combo instead (plugin by *zy0rg which allows you to put DOF in 2D fractals). So, yes, this is a 2D fractal.
And also, I'm working on B/C on the gradient itself to minimize postwork as much a possible.
