Specializes in genjutsu, and use of her arsenal signifies mid-range and far-range fights as her stronger means of battle. Rarely ever fights hand-to-hand, and hardly ever uses taijutsu except in defense and ninjutsu as a means of disguise. Some of her more notably used skills:

~Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning skill) – summons foxes, also enables her to have a ‘connection’ with foxes who aren’t on the fox scroll. Also, it is said that of all the people to have this skill, it was suppose to be her destiny to summon a Kyuubi... range varies, rarely uses.

~Shinigami (Deathgod) – Genjutsu. A special skill that instills the image of a god of death in the mind of the victim. It’s produced by a special poison powder blend from several flowers in the Water Country that is mixed, at the moment of use, with it’s holder’s chakra to enable them control over the genjutsu when it is inhaled by the victim and so that that it will not affect them. It can cause eventual suffocation if the antidote, which is, oddly enough, plain water is not ingested within about half-an-hour. Mid-range attack, used occasionally.

~Komo no su (Spider Web) – Weapon skill. In coinsiding with her use of wire, Mio uses this technique as a combination trap-and-attack. She weaves a ‘web’ in a spider style, but tighter and uses it to catch her unsuspecting victim. Can be used in the air, in trees, or in/on the ground. It combined use is total decapitation; one end to the web is held in her hand, connecting to all vital points of the structure so that the victim caught in it is easily and cleanly decapitated in one pull. Close-range to mid-range, use fairly a lot in her killings.

We are sure there are more, but as of late, no one who has witnessed them has been found alive or in one piece.

Weaponry: Basic kunai, Basic Shuriken, Basic senbon. Specializes in use of wire techniques, and carries a variety of small blades hidden on her person. Also, carries an arsenal of poisons with her, ranging from powdered to liquid; it is undetermined how many are in her possession.

Why did they become missing?: In a classified incident involving the Hoshino family of the Hidden Village of Waterfall, Miss Tama was the absolute culprit, and is also involved in several other murder cases. She fled, and is currently at large, dangerous and mentally unstable. The Hidden Village of Waterfall representatives have also stated they will not be accepting her back in to the village any time soon.

History:

On March 6, Miss Hoshino Tama was born in to the Hoshino Family in the Hidden Village of Waterfall. Her name, meaning ‘star ball’ apparently picked by the family astronomers, who insisted she was the one of the coming generation who would be able to summon the ultimate of all the foxes, Kyuubi. (NOTE: Legends of the foxes tell of an object called the ‘Star Ball’ [Hoshi no Tama], which is said that the person in possession of it can get a fox to do what he or she wants, which is where her name stems from.). The Hoshino Family were infamously known in the village as the only family ever to gain the respect of the foxes enough to earn right to the contract. All the ‘Tama’s in the family were always identifiable by a silver star tattoo under the left eye.

From the time when she could walk till her promotion to genin, Tama was trained vigorously to become a ninja, taking both classes at the academy and being tutored at home. Her great-grandmother, though not the Tama of the previous generation, was adverse in the specialty summoning of the family, and was the one who taught Tama skill in preparation for her graduation. The training was complete when Tama turned 10, but the woman passed away a month after her birthday.

By age 11, Tama was an exceptional ninja. She was polite, though rather stiff according to some, and enjoyed her life immensely. She was also pretty adverse in music, having a fondness for piano and violin. Her favorite of all the fox summons was one called "Aoi", whom she kept at her side a lot. In a nutshell, her past, though somewhat tense and difficult, created an innocent, hard-working average-ninna Tama who loved her family. But, in a year, that all changed.

At 12, Tama graduated from her school and became a full-fledge genin. It was also the time she was supposed to summon the Kyuubi. But, apparently, that year the female Kyuubi was killed by an unknown person or persons, and the male Kyuubi had been sealed seven years previously in some unknown place. And of all the foxes to be summoned, the one closest to reaching its 1000th year was still only 825-years old (7-tails) So, no one this generation would be able to be hold the beauty and demonic presence of the nine-tailed being...

It is unsure exactly how many meetings were held in the weeks to come following this news. Some say there were dozens every week, and others have said there was only one; either way, there were still conflicts within the family according to the fate of Miss Tama. Many wanted to see the Kyuubi, many wanted it to be free and see if they could name another child ‘Tama’ to control it. They only had to find a way to give it more strength... and it seems that the conclusion came to sacrificing Tama in hopes of giving the Kyuubi power from her blood to release itself.

Unwilling to go that far just to satisfy her family’s wishes to try again with another generation Tama and shocked at the fact they’d also decided to choose the family’s traditions over her life, it is said Tama snapped and went on a killing spree. From the surveyed damage, it seems she'd summoned at least two or three lower-rank foxes in her rage and yanked the wire out of her beloved piano to use as a weapon, and by sunrise on December 1st, the entire Hoshino Family, except her, was completely wiped out. On top of that, her home complex was left in shambles, and burnt entirely to the ground by what is assumed to be the infamous attack “Fox Fire”, leaving little to no trace of the family’s former prestige. In a note to the rest of the Village, she stated: “I did this with no regrets; from here on out, my destiny is my own to choose and anyone who gets in my way will die.”

For the last two years, Tama has changed her name Mio, still keeping her last name, and has only come close to being captured once, and has managed eluded the ANBU sent after her, and remains at large. Rumors have it she’s seeking out the Akatsuk; whether to join or to attempt to pull another massacre is uncertain. She is considered to be highly, mentally unstable, and it is uncertain of what actions she will take when encountered; take extreme precautions if confronted.
