Well, I can understand why it's private property, after having looked at those pics.. !!!  It sure would have been nice though to have seen it (all ) in person, though; to have walked around the place up close and personal . But having read most of that article, the place has been through a Lot; including bad maintenance, at one point in time.. It certainly has a history!   So,.. I can understand them wanting to do all they can to preserve the place as best they can. (well, to my mind, that would be the main reason to not allow the public full access. Although I'm sure it does have to do with the family's privacy as well.   !!   Thanks so much for the link, corniger-aries   , I enjoyed that! !!!
