From episode 2 of Season 3. This scene made me have many feels. Dammit I love you Spike!!Please excuse my crappy background. I'm out of practice. I like how Spike and Twilight came out though. Please forgive the weirdness in some parts.
I.... don't have much to say.
You'd think I'd have learned to colour by now

To think that's Spike most dreaded fear isn't Rarity rejecting him but Twilight leaving him really speaks volumes about his feelings for her. He literally can't stand the idea of living without Twilight. By understanding his fear, we, the fans, have come to understand his love. This scene stuck with me for a long time, and I think you really captured the scene's emotion.
Spike's thankful tears and Twilight's comforting embrace.... These two really are a family, a brother and a sister. This episode proved how much they need each other.
And your background looks pretty good, much better than anything I could make. I like how the door has those arrow like hinges that give the sense of there being something beyond the piece's frame.

I know right? I'm a BIG fan of Spike, and I think he actually gets some of the best character development sometimes. It just tends to happen in episodes that don't focus on him

I kinda hate it when people portray their relationship as ANYTHING but this. I mean, they say that Twilight doesn't care about Spike, or that he's just an assistant to her...
Evidently that isn't true, because then she wouldn't do this!

It annoys me when people assume that just because twilight doesn't always seem very considerate to spike, doesn't mean she doesn't care!

They have a brother/sister like dynamic, and like most siblings - not all - they have their good and bad moments together. But just because they don't always see eye to eye, doesn't mean they don't love/respect each other.

I love the background in this depiction of "the Fear Door". The light and shading is very well placed. It really gives the impression of being in a dark, underground secret passage. Those crystals have great texture and a kind of threatening tone about them, probably because they're so sharp. The arrow-shaped door hinges are a neat detail, too. Way to point our two heroes in the right direction.
Twilight and Spike's expressions are exactly what we think of when this scene comes up (or at least for me they are). Spike's tears and thankful smile as he hugs his best friend, who means so much to him that the very idea of losing her is the essence of his worst fear. Twilight's posture as she kneels to hold her first friend, comforting him and resolving his fear, saying she will never send him away. Once again, the light on these two is fabulous. I can't say that enough; the light really sets the mood and atmosphere for this scene.
This scene was particularly heart wrenching because it showed how much Twilight means to Spike. He's been with her since he hatched (thanks to her) and has come to view her as his best friend, maybe even a sister. She means more to him that he normally shows; it's only at the thought of losing her that his true feelings come to light. I wonder if this fact about Spike will turn up later in the series....
Anyway, great take on this memorable scene. You really captured the heart of it.
