In a very vague, difficult to understand riddle that explains almost nothing.
Still, progress! (I kid, he's still trying to figure things out himself here, so I get the lack of clarity. He still needs to open up a bit more, though. Might help a bit)

I forgot to mention that I like the fact that this comes after Papyrus tries communicating his feelings with Sans. It shows some contrast in how each of the brothers approach and handle their emotions (as always, the brothers are very different people), and also gives Sans a bit more confidence about opening up at all, building off of what Papyrus already started. Feels less like an interrogation/confrontation that way, though I could see one of these coming later anyways. Regardless, smart storytelling choices here - good job

Pfft Sans needs to lighten up. I mean being a nihilist is hard and all...But he lives in a sleepy town as a sentry who doesn't even have to stand up. He could work in a demanding, modern world full of hypocrisy and injustice to the point where it is confusing as possible like the surface. Then again, that could be why he fears to lose all of what he has.
