wow. this pretty much made me want to cry. jotaro is his rival's and yet he still loves "his" kid. this shows he really is a good father and being. he doesn't blame jotaro for anything. you don't see that often. great work on showing this.

But the problem is that I can't read them my mom took away my library card and the state Washington is to far away! you could always send me a note then no one will know but us. But is that really why Mariko wanted Usagi to stay? you could atleast answer that question.

I'm not entirely sure. I haven't read book 1. if you're talking about book 2 I still don't know XD I'm not sure she knew she was pregnant at the time.

No I'm pretty sure she didn't know she was pregnant at that stage or she would've told him. She just wanted him to stay because she loves him.

Good point. But there is the possibility that she wanted to stay then she would tell him.

I wish Kenichi would realize that there's no way he could be replaced. He's a good guy, Jotaro's gotta love him even if he is something of a prick from time to time.

This pic for me is bittersweet. Ok he is a good father it seems and Skippy has come out a good kid but the main fact of the matter is that is Usagis son. How could he marry Mariko knowing that? Sorry I have a strong set of maorals and this just feels wrong. It's like Kenichi, unable to best Usagi in a sword fight or other event, is using Skippy as a way to ensure his victory over Usagi and to give himself a feeling of ride over winning. But the fact that he is still afraid of Usagi means that he must fear losing Skippy and thus he loses his bargining chip. Skippy will find out one day. It's only right that Usagi has Jotaro after all the crap he's had to put up with, he deserves Jotaro more then anyone else. Now I Know that he's a good father and maybe not a bad person but he seems to have petty pride in holdoing Skippy over Usagi like a carot and watching him squirm. MAkes me so mad. I'm naturally a nice and gentle person but things like this just get me hot and bothered. Still I'm thinking more about Skippy then the others really.

He married Mariko knowing that because Kenichi has always been in love with her. She and Usagi were always closer than she was to Kenichi, but the three of them grew up together, and there's always been this rivalry between Usagi and Kenichi for her affections.
and I firmly disagree about the bargaining chip thing. I don't believe that at all. Kenichi loves Jotaro. He loves him honestly and fully. If anything Jotaro is Usagi's power over Kenichi, not the other way around. Kenichi knows that if Usagi speaks up Kenichi will have no choice but to hand the boy over to his rightful father. This is why he's afraid and hates Usagi. He truly loves the boy and would never use him as some sort of tie-breaker between him and Usagi.
XD *flails* the poor guy! If this story was written from his point of view we'd all probably hate Usagi too!

Still it doesn't sit well with me. Surely if she was faithful to him then she would've spurned her Kenshis advances.
If anything the boy will find out sooner or later as he looks nothing like Kenshi. SO in a ways Usagi has his son but he's being kept from him but stuid pride and honour. We can't all do whatsright and sometimes we need to make a stand and take what is ours by right. Skippy is Usagis own fleash and blood. And Kenshi has no right to the boy. I only hope that the kid realises that and finds Usagi. Cause if theres one thing that belongs to our rabbit it's his kid. if he needed to be selfish for one thing, it's skippy.
You might be right but if we learned all the same story from his point of view then we might still end up liking Usagi. I'm sure kenshis not a bad sort but jhe seems wromng somehow not sure what it is.

Beautiful and sad. I just love the way Jotaro his griping Kenichi kimono.
You're right, I often forget Kenichi, event if he a really good guy. He could have refuse to take care of the son of someone else, but he have welcome Jotaro with all the love he could give him.
All this situation between all of them, feel like a love triangle. Both Usagi and Kenichi love Jotaro as their son when Jotaro is torn a bit between the two of them...That how I interpret this picture. The way Jotaro is griping Kenichi's kimono like he don't want to lose him, but he look in another direction, maybe think about his other father....Okay return to bed for me, I think too much

Kind of reminds me of my own dad; he isn't my dad by blood, but he still loves and support me. Actually, he fell in love with my mom when I was around 6 months old; and he have never treated me different.
But unlike Jotaru, I never hesitate in voicing my dislike towards my biological father. So I'm not sure if my dad would be scared or angry if I ever met my biological father.
Um. Very good picture. :3

Because he lost to Usagi in Lord Mifune's duel, which means he's not good enough to serve Lord Mifune.
