Some quick promotional art for a mysterious girl that stars in the mysterious visual novel that I'm mysteriously working on in collaboration with the mysterious (but awesome) .It's so mysterious, I can only call this lovely lady "Girl K", and the visual novel "C3". More details in January, I'm sure. ^__~

hehe, yeah, I guess it adds a very Mona Lisa-like mysteriousness about her. The eyes are actually style-matched from Haya-chan's character art so not my usual style -- but they were pretty fun to make regardless. ^^b

Hotdammit C-quel, didn't recognize that as your work. I literally did a double-take at the thumbnail.
That being said, I LOVE IT. It takes patience deluxe to draw all those individual strands of hair, the likes of which I'll never posses.

lol, well with that kind of hair, CTRL+D is your friend. Plus you SERIOUSLY telling ME that YOU have no PATIENCE to draw HYPER-detailed HAIR?! I guess I'd agree only if my memory were worse, but no I clearly recall the contrary.... ^__^

But would you believe me if I told you this actually has HALF the number of hair strands it had originally? There was so much hair, it was just getting too unwieldy and even some of the detail was getting buried-- even Haya-chan cut down on the strands in her colored character art (it's one thing sketching it, quite another coloring, lol). ^.^
That's why in typical Anime style, only the front gets individual strands, while the rest of the off-focus hair (and her turnip top) just gets a quick passing with shading. -v-
BTW, I'm actually doing our drawing right now, so don't think I'm quite done with my latest art dump. ^^b

Yeah, sometimes simpler is better-- you don't want to be TOO bogged down in detail, especially if it doesn't add something to the entire image.
