Happy new year! To kick things off for 2018, as visually sinister as she looks, here's a new mermaid from my latest literature ; Emileel.

She takes the spot as the easy-to-hate character from Living with a Mermaid.

Although she does have the power to electrify anyone who touches her dangerous eel tail, she can actually control how much zap she produces from it. ...Meaning that she has no intention of actually killing Abel? Maybe she has some form of pity for others. ...Or not.

As mentioned in the story, she lurks in a rocky alley with electric devices. But how did she get them? And why do they still have some kind of power left in them? ...In water, no less? That'll be explained in the story later.

Meanwhile, art-wise, I don't usually colour characters like this. Her human-like skin may seem like the same pink like the other mermaids, but I actually made it more pale.
And with that colour combined with the black hair and dark-green tail? ...I'm not quite sure if I like it, myself. But if I replaced the pink with another colour, she would either look out of place or too similar to other, official characters across fiction.
I seem to have this problem of choosing colours for my characters a lot, actually. Coming up with conclusive design ideas can be hard.
