In this "sketchbook" piece, I have my OC Pyro! He's my Cirque fire-dancer and while I have never really uploaded any piece with him in the past, this is actually his redesign.So a little bit about him:
He's the youngest male in the Cirque. Prior to joining the crew, he was a junior doctor and due to him having a medical degree, he is assigned as the crew's medic.
He's a smiley dude and you'll have a hard time pissing him off (unlike Ice who will glare your face off). But, because he's so smiley and kind-hearted, he sometimes runs into trouble with people who have a vendetta against the Cirque. This naivety has led to Python, Ice and Tigress saving his butt more than once.
Feel free to ask anything about the Cirque de Q and its members! I love my OCs so it gives me a great joy to blabber about it!

God i love this one. The colours are incredible, it really does glow! And his pose is fantastic. I don't know how you pull off such amazing perspectives. (The hands oh my god the hands.) Your drawings always have a great 3D element, they really pop out of the page.

A lot of the perspectives come about through my thumbnails of the piece!
And the hands (I just contort my own hand and take a photo of it to use as reference and then adjust it to be more masculine or more foreshortened).

That's a really good idea for drawing hands! I usually try to contort it in front of me and somehow draw it there and then (which is difficult for obvious reasons), and I never thought of taking a photo! Derr! (Also what do you mean by the thumbnails thing? I've heard a few artists talk about that and how it really helps, and I think I had an idea of what it is, but I'm not entirely sure. Is is like drawing tiny sketches of possible images? You're allowed to laugh if that was completely wrong :I

Basically for me, I sketch out really rough lines and shapes that mimic the poses I want in my head. It's really down to getting the movement and dynamic-ness of the piece. I do quite a few of these and then narrow it down to the one I want for a particular character. I am not sure if I even made sense there.
