Description Here I stand, here I live, a shelf in a small room, collecting the little light that I can find ...

There are just a few things in this room,
a bed, a tv, a chair and some machines that keep making noise,
not that I care about the noise,
not having ears can be helpfull sometimes.

A person is lying in the bed,
a bunch of wires keep her connected to the noisy machines,
I think she isn't feeling so well,
but she's always asleep so it's kinda hard to say.

Two other people had brought me here,
they pulled me from my home and they put me in a pot filled with so called "nutritious dirt" ,
I hated it, it tastes horrible ...

If things couldn't be any worse, the machines start making even more noise,
just this constant sound that could drive anyone crazy,
but I don't have a brain so going mad isn't an easy task for me.

A group of people in green clothes and masks rush in with this other noisy machine,
they start undressing her,
strange,
i thought people only did that when they want to reproduce or to cleanse their skin.

They grab these two panels and put them on her chest,
after one of them shouts "CLEAR !" the girl suddenly bounces in the air and falls back,
are they trying to kill her or something cause she already looked pretty dead to me?

this goes on for a few more times untill they seem to give up on whatever they were doing,
one of them starts producing fluids from her eyes and grabs a piece of paper to whipe it of her face,
I think they call those pieces of paper tissues, but I'm not sure,
they roll her and the bed she was on out of the room and close the door...

I wonder what person they will put with me next ...

Well, I don't know about in hospitals, though I'm sure it happens. They're a lot cheaper to maintain and buy than real plants. You don't even have to water them. You can usually tell if you look really really close if plants are fake or real. They aren't really "silk," anymore, they're probably more of a plastic-type blend, but they're still called "silk," just because... well I don't really know why. LOL. You can find all kinds of fake flowers and plants at craft stores.

ow, i new there were fake ones, i just didn't know they used to be made out of silk O_O

but if you'd read the story you'd see that the plant isn't fake cause he's sitting in nutrisious dirt

why are you appologising, i'm not offended or anything, i'm just surprised about silk being used in fake plants and i just wanted to make it clear that it's a regular living plant

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WinterDarkmoon In reply to C3POwn [2011-05-21 16:07:36 +0000 UTC]

That's alright. They're called silk a lot because originally that's what was used. Lots of history in artificial plants. Victorians used them. They were believed to originate in China Italy etc. Now they're just polyester. LOL. But no, it's clear it's a real plant now.

ow, now i understand ^^

hobbies... hm. Photography, photomanipulation, reading, writing, learning, listening to music, sometimes making beaded jewelry though not so much lately, um.... probably others I can't think of right off the bat. LOL.

interests... finishing a theater degree, and possibly acting in movies... well the degree's going to consume my interests for awhile though. LOL.

favorite movies would have to be things like howl's moving castle, and the princess bride, then again, I'm eclectic in that too. I loved Blood Diamond. Action movies are great, as are comedies. (Though I thought Napoleon Dynamite was the worst movie ever made, sorry if you liked it.)

hmm, interesting, perhaps i'll see a movie with you in it one day ^^

uhm, i know none of those movies -_-
i'm more a guy for animated movies (like all pixar movies, disney and most dreamworks movies as well) and anime (like the movies of studio ghibli, bleach, fairy tail and the new deadman wonderland)

my interests are mainly video games (i'm going to study on how to make them next year, the course takes 3 years in wich 6 months is spend on an intership) and thinking up stories, as you probably geussed

if there's anything else you wanne know about me, go ahead and ask, i'm an open book ^^

Howl's Moving Castle is by Hayao Miyazaki, which is Studio Ghibli.

Princess Bride is an older movie, which is kind of a funny parody of fantasy love stories in general.

Blood Diamond was a rather serious movie starring D'caprio, that told a story about the diamond trade in Africa. It was very good and very thought provoking.

Video games is a pretty good field to go into!!! Definitely cool.

Hm...questions... lol. I'm not good at thinking things up like that on the fly - when I do they're cliche. So, I suppose I'll ask about music.

O_O wow, i just contradicted myself didn't i -_-'
well, so far i've only seen ponyo on the cliff by the sea, but i've heard alot about their other movies, i just can't find a good way of watching them, i don't find them on dvd anywhere and when i tried downloading totoro it had russian subtitles -_-

hmmm, they both sound pretty good ^^

yup and i intent to become one of the big names in the gaming industry, well, at least i'm gonna try my very best, so that me and the people i'll work with will make games that are original in both story and gameplay and that we'll listen to our fans so that our games will continue to improve and improve ^^

well, i'm mainly into punk like rise against, sum 41, relient k, simple plan, those are my favorite bands, but i do like listening to a certain amount of dubstep, mainly things like beautifull lies and some other, i also like rock and softer music, mostly from the fray or oasis ^^

you ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WinterDarkmoon In reply to C3POwn [2011-05-24 20:45:34 +0000 UTC]

Kind of. LOL. I wish I knew where to find the movies! I don't know if you can find them online anywhere - not unless they're pirated.

Good idea about listening to fans. Maybe I'll play one of your games one day.

Those bands are good. I'm very partial to female fronted rock - with a lean towards symphonic metal. Evanescence for female-fronted, symphonic metal is Nightwish (their old stuff) and Within Temptation and a lot of others like them. I'm very eclectic in my choices though. I don't just listen to rock. I also listen to New Age, classical, indie, native american, hindi, african, irish, italian, russian, japanese, etc etc. If it's pleasing to me, I listen. I don't, however, like rap, most hip hop, (though I do enjoy some songs) and I'm not a big country music fan either.

yea, i wish i knew that too -_-

yup, and i intend to concentrate on making good games and not on making money

yup, they are good bands, you're pretty much the same as me, if i like music i'll listen to it, it doesn't realy matter what genre, but i just find punk to be the most pleasing for me
2 of my female friends listen to evanescence and nightwish ^^
and yea, i HATE rap and hip hop, it's just not what i call "music" just some guys "talking" about being gangsters and criminals and how "hard" they have it living on the streets -_-

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WinterDarkmoon In reply to C3POwn [2011-05-24 23:20:03 +0000 UTC]

haha. You've got that right! That is exactly my feelings about rap/hiphop. Totally pointless glorification of violence, which isn't good. They should sing songs about getting real jobs.... LOL.

Which, the subject of songs that are talked leads me to "screamo." Don't get me wrong, there are people out there that can pull it off. (When it is NOT done for the whole song, and there are other parts that aren't screamed.) If it's the ENTIRE song screamed out with repetitive guitar noise - no thank you. lol.

C3POwn In reply to WinterDarkmoon [2011-05-25 07:09:02 +0000 UTC]

indeed, it doesn't surprise me that so many black and white people end up being criminals with all that influencial music -_-

yea, i like it when they scream like once or twice, but not the entire song -_-

hey, do you play video games ? if so, what genre and witch one do you like best ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WinterDarkmoon In reply to C3POwn [2011-06-02 19:21:47 +0000 UTC]

Not really video games. When I do, I like things like car racing, and DDR. lol. Not much into shooters, but puzzles and RPGs with magic and wizards are good too. No specific titles - I don't play often enough to say hey I play this game. Though as a kid, we played harvest moon on game cube. That one was pretty fun, to me anyway. lol.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

C3POwn In reply to WinterDarkmoon [2011-06-02 19:26:03 +0000 UTC]

yea, i heard of harvest moon, never played it though.
you could say i'm pretty addicted to games, i game every day,
i play most of the new games like Call of Duty Black Ops, or assassins creed, bioshock, section 8, etc.

lol, the plant's perspective(At least, Im pretty sure it's a plant ) is amusing, how matter-of-factly it says everything, although it feels like some of the potential for an emotional piece was removed by that.

Was there any particular reason for putting this in a free-verse poetry format?

Also, I'm very sorry to hear about your niece. My grandfather died of cancer a while ago, so I feel like I can relate a little, but it must be quite different to have somebody younger than you die.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

C3POwn In reply to hardcore-introvert [2011-05-15 20:18:19 +0000 UTC]

well, i just wanted to put it in the plants perspective so that the reader would graduatly find out what is going on, i know that it takes some of the emotion away, but that's what you get for putting it in such a different perspective

uhm, i just wrote it, it isn't realy my intention to put it in any kind of format what so ever, what do you mean with in a free-verse poetry format ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hardcore-introvert In reply to C3POwn [2011-05-17 00:53:49 +0000 UTC]

Free-verse poetry is basically poetry that doesn't have to rhyme or have a specific rhythm / amount of verses / amount of lines. Sometimes the sentences are broken up for more effect. At least, that's about how I understand it, but I don't know much about poetry at all. Maybe it just came out looking like that, something about the way you typed it? I'm it doesn't really matter. I was just curious

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

C3POwn In reply to hardcore-introvert [2011-05-17 13:28:37 +0000 UTC]

it's ok, i've never hated curiousity, except when it's unnecessary curiousity, like when my brother and i are watching a movie he always starts asking questions that would normally be awnsered if he'd just keep watching the movie -_-
