Description Now this is the 1920x1200 version of Desktop BG .
I added Jing-Jang 2 to the center of the pic in order to fill the empty space wich appeared after increasing the height.

I hop you like it!

Download for full-size(1920x1200)!

Amazing but could be more 3D to look more realistic if you know what I mean. Like somebody else said...too smooth and clear. Should be more rugged.

Ooooooooooooooo, soooo prettty... -steals for his desktop right away-

Was this done in Illustrator? If so, I'm a big fanatic of galaxy backgrounds as well (I have a screenshot of my desktop here; [link] ), and was thinking about seeing how I could integrate the two. Though the most difficult part would be keeping it from becoming too 'busy.'

I have a fairly large archive of NASA/galaxy photos that are plenty high resolution that might look particularly interesting with this.

Mehaps a collaborative effort?

First of all, thanks for the fav!

I was using Photoshop and Blender, but anyhow it shuldn't be a to big problem changing this color-gradient into a Galaxy!
I have allready tried it with your desktop-BG and it looks really cool!

So send me a link to the pic (or pics) you would like to see in combination with this one!

I actually couldn't help myself from starting and playing around with a few blending possibilities with both backgrounds I'm currently using;
BG 2 and galaxy
Icesphere + NGC 6357

I've linked to the originals, though both are a bit cropped to get them to the correct aspect ratios(first galaxy)/resolution(NGC6357).

Beatiful job, however it feels like it should be more rugged and not so perfectly crisp.
