Thanks Claire! I think this is one of the best "colouring" jobs I've ever done with a fractal.

What an excellent fractal! How on earth do you get that woodgrain look to the tendrils. Is that luck or can you do that at will? I guess with all your knowledge of the program you can do just about anything at will! LOL
I've downloaded your script package and am looking forward to playing with some of the results I get and hopefully some of that knowledge will sink in.
Rather than bombard you with comments I'll just say everything in your gallery is exceptional! Do I sound enthusiastic about your work?? LOL ;o)

You have an awesome knack for the fractals with interconnecting waves and curved lines, etc. Your choice in gradients are always right on as well. I love the depth in your work.

That turned out great! Sometimes 2 fractals turn out some awesome images. Very nice Tom.

This is cool too, and seems quite impressive in it's scale. I don't know if you mess with the Gimp program but it can do a decent job of tiling images as well.

I have a copy of GIMP, but I haven't taken the time to really play with it seeing as how I own Photoshop.

If you are use to with photoshop just flow with that. But Gimp is amazing for a freeware program.

thanks!

Upping the quality of the render shouldn't increase the memory (RAM) usage... increasing the resolution of the fractal will definitely use more ram, but quality wont. It'll increase the length od time the render takes though.

I didn't use a script. It could be done though by using the Julian Rings script as a base.
