Description Sometimes it is difficult to decide whether a piece falls under the "Digital Art" or "Traditional Art" categories. Such was the case with this one, which was not altered as much as some of my past artwork. But considering that it now looks like a sunset and the original photo was taken at about noon, I decided that it was altered enough to go under "Digital Art".

The photo was taken at a rest area along California Hwy 88, somewhere near the California/Nevada stateline. One will notice that there is a bit of a lake on the corner of the photo. Usually lakes get all of the attention, but with this one I decided to focus on the mountainside and the trees.

Damn those lakes! They get all the attention! *fist shakey, lol*

Lake Tahoe, or some other lake? Been a while since I've seen the Sierra's *sigh*

Question: if you don't digitally alter a photograph at all, wouldn't it be categorized under photographs (or photography or whatever) instead of under traditional art? Don't know DA that well, so I could be totally wrong

No, it's not Lake Tahoe. I forget what the lake was called. Yes, it's been a while since you last seen the Sierras

I believe that if I don't digitally alter a photograph at all it can be categorized as either Traditional Art or a Photograph. Photographs can have minimal amount of manipulation added to them (just to touch them up a bit) while Traditional Art cannot. At least that's what I gathered from the descriptions.
