A short while ago I responded to this digital painting by Jemooshka that depicts "a little owlbear and owlbear girl chasing some pretty lights." Here's my silly pun-filled response, reproduced here because it's relevant to the next journal post coming soon...
...in the future she [the girl in the painting] is going to become a singing-and-dancing movie star. Her stage name will be Owlivia Hootin'-John and she'll star in a movie called Geese alongside John Tra-vulture. It's gonna be epic!
"Tell me more, tell me more!" you say? OK then.
The owlbear will soon become the girl's closest friend, familiar and bodyguard (he having helped rescue her, of course). He will mature and use glamour to blend in with Owlivia's other acquaintances. One day, the owlbear will agree to take Owlivia to see the king of the owlbears, who is aptly named Owlbear't King.
Now, Owlbear't King is famous, too: he's a blues singer with such hits as Born Under a Bat Sign, a fictional ballad about Batman's son; Cold Feet, a melancholy song about an anxious penguin; and C.O.D., which I believe revolves around King's love of eating the popular fish species Gadus. King's most beloved work, however, will be Lovingest Woman in Town, which will be about and dedicated to Owlivia Hootin'-John herself, so impressed was King upon their first meeting...
